Default Ferragamo SA must be doing so well that they don't need my business!
So I am shopping for Christmas gifts and I need a few things from Ferragamo. My usual SA at the usual store I shop at left for a different job and so I thought, well, I'll see if somebody else can help me.

I have called 5 different stores now and it's been more frustrating than helpful! 3 stores claim that their digital camera is broken and can't take or send me pictures of what I'm looking for so I can verify the style/color. The SA at one store said I'll get the pictures most likely tomorrow sometime(yes, because if I have time to shop tomorrow, I won't be calling today would I? Oh, no guarantee either). The one SA from a different store said he'd send me pictures via his cellphone, but from the tone of his voice, I'm not holding my breathe!

I know they might be busy with holiday sales and all that stuff, but none of them even sound excited or happy to be talking to me over the phone! But if I'm spending $$$ on presents, I want to make sure I'm getting what everybody wants, really, just a small pic...is that too much to ask for?

I don't usually get pics from stores but I was in Saks wanting to order a full priced Chanel and the SA would not do it. She told me to 'call around,' 'try NY.' Well I called around and placed my order with Nordstroms!!

Sorry you don't have that option.

My old SA would always email me pictures. I don't ask for the whole store's stock, usually I have a couple of things in mind and she'd send me 2-5 pictures to help me make a decision. So sad she no longer works there!

Ferragamo's not that popular at the department stores and I've found that their boutiques truly have much more selection in styles/colors. I have two very reliable SAs at NM, but both of their stores barely carry anything Ferragamo so I can't really call them up. *sigh*

That's sad... I called a store which I only once visited and placed an order. I asked for the availability of Varina in different colors and the SA I talked to went to the stock room and checked the availability of Varina in more than 10 colors with brief explanation of the material. I hope you will find a better SA at some other boutiques... Did your old SA move to another boutique? If so, you can still purchase from her!

I know what you mean- I was shocked when a Gucci SA I called acted like I was bothering her Guess she wasn't interested in an easy five minute sale......

Stuck-up employees are losing business for the stores. If I was the store manager, id write em up for things like that.

why don't you try to shop online at neiman marcus, Saks or barneys.com. they usually have good selection of ferragamo's items.

Wow that sucks!

The one and only time I went into Ferragamo the SA was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I would try a dept store, like hermesindonesia suggested

I just posted about this same experience I had in the YSL forum under "Fuschia Majorelle." The girl sighed and let me know how much trouble it would be for her to look up the phone # for the other Saks. Hmmm, thought that's why they call it a "job". I know I certainly couldn't have that attitude at mine.

I know the feeling. There was this really b*tchy SA at the LV counter who would only give you service if you look like you could afford something. The last three times that I bought a purse there, I made sure she wasn't working just so she can't get my sale. Extremely rude. If I saw her working I'd be like, guess I won't be buying my LV today!

Luckily I don't think she works there anymore.

I don't know why the SA wouldn't bend over backwards for you business considering the fact that an SA at my local Ferragamo boutique told me business hasn't been great. Their security guard was laid off and there will be no replacement anytime soon with their sluggish sales according to her.
