It seems like it has the potential to be a classic to me. I just personally enjoy it, so I think that is what matters!

The bay I didn't really like at first, but it is growing on me.

missnox I asked the same question and had prevented myself from getting a spy for the longest time! The answer I got was that its one that is here to stay, like the LV speedys. So I went ahead and got one today! I'M SO EXCITED! Oh why oh why did I start this obsession?

I can't stop looking at the list... Some of those couture spies are so beautiful. Not within my reach anyway. Thanks again Lit, this is a geat resource for me to plan out my spy purchase seeing that I can't look at them in real life where I am.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but looking at the photos I can see the differences between the chocolate and cognac spies. The only thing that confuses me is the colour. Cos the non-stock photo for the choc spy was taken with flash i am finding it hard to compare. Correct me if I am wrong but the chocolate spy has 2 distinct colours? 1 on the handles and another in the main body?

Would this bag then be the chocolate spy?

I think all of the solid nappa spys are meant to have one color, but sometimes the dye they use behaves differently on the handles than it does on the body of the bag. This shows especially when taking flash photos. Sometimes the handles on the cognac even show rather orange in flash photos for some reason. In everyday use, though, the color difference is minimal.

I do believe that bag on Jomashop is cognac, which is my personal preference of the brown colors. I think the cognac looks much richer and somehow more luscious than the chocolate, which is very dark. Double-check with BagLady, but I think she said it is cognac because FOGJ3 is the color code for cognac. I don't think Jomashop represents the true look of the cognac well at all, though.

That's the answer I wanted. I am with you on that the cognac is my personal preference of the 2 colours. I think Im pretty much decided on what my next Fendi purchase is going to be. I thought the flash might have been the reason as to why there was such a distinct difference, which is to be expect with flash. I reckon their colour representations are off too.

Their prices are great though and international shipping is really quick. Took them only 8 days to send me a Fendi evening bag.

Yup they sure are. They do pretty good deals on Fendi (not Gucci though, you may be disappointed at that, seen you lurking around the Gucci thread ). Heaps of PF'er have purchased from them. If you decide to purchase form them you can always post pics in the Authenticate This thread for your piece of mind.

Thanks for taking the time to do this litigatrix. However, you've neglected my favorite version which is the spy hobo or whatever you call it. I like a thin close to the body type bag (hence my love my balenciaga) I have a bunch of pics of mine - pm me if you want to see.

BTW - did anybody happen to catch that move 'the valet' ? French farse where a lowly valet gets caught up with high fashion models. ONe of them is carrying what I think is the petrol spy - gorgeous.
