I couldn't help but jump into this thread. I love the Spy too, ever since it first came out.

Definitely a classic. I don't own one but have my eye on one in NAP and feel it will be my next bag. X

I have a baby spy and full size hobo, and still want the classic flap spy... it's been on my wishlist for over 2 years now, and I wouldn't still be holding out for it if it weren't going to be a purchase that would last over years to come. a definite classic in my book.

Well, Fendi fans, I jumped in and now have a pre-loved Spy (2 previous owners are PF'rs) in Cognac. I can't believe how light it is, even with the hardware. The leather is so interesting and appealing. It's in wonderful condition.

I'm slow in taking pics, but I'd love to share a photo of this "vintage" Spy.

congratulations, i think cognac's lovely. i would've gotten that instead of my dark brown one but i was in a dark brown mood then :) like yourself i'm blown by how light the bag is and it can hold lots! looking forward to your pics.

btw fendi fans, i hope i can ask this question here. how much do you think is a good price to list my dark brown leather fendi spy for? i'm not selling it yet but i'm thinking of selling it to fund other purchases it's well used but in great condition, the spy compartment is tight because i've never opened it except on the day i got it.

Congrats!!! Cognac is a terrific color, it's a wonderful neutral. Take pics of your spy, we'd love to see it too! The feel of the older spies is marvelous. Somehow the new ones just aren't the same and it takes them a long time to get that right feel.

I'm so glad that you're happy with it. Sometimes, the style doesn't work for everyone, but it is such a utilitarian bag. I still get compliments on mine, even from my bag-hating mom. So show us some pics!!

For loves - it really depends on the condition. I'd say that ebay will give you a decent baseline of the market value.

ok just for feedback, do you fendi lovers here think USD1210 inclusive of shipping, registered airmail a reasonable asking price? or is it too much?

i know the price should depend on the condition but i can only give a vague description here :

it's all leather, dark brown and in great condition, no scratches on hardware, no tears, stains or fraying whatsoever.

i don't want to include pics here in case i come across as selling surreptitiously. i'm just doing a bit of pre-selling research. thanks!
