Default Fendi duffel bag - found at the curb!

My friend just came over to ask me about this because she knows I'm into this stuff.....but I'm not very knowledgeable on Fendi, so any info would be appreciated! A neighbor of hers is moving and and they're throwing away tons of stuff. She saw this sitting at the curb and took it....It's in amazing shape and we were wondering when it was made or a name of the bag, etc....Here are 3 photos of it, including the strap, which says "FENDI ROMA 1925 ITALY"....

It doesn't appear to be fake.

From doing some research, we think the bag might be from the seventies or eighties because what else was found with it, a Gucci wallet, etc. The owners of the house are pretty old.

Did you check to see if there are is a serial number inside? It may be in gold or silver inside of the inner pocket. It's a great travel bag! On a side note - growing up, a lot of our furniture was found at the curb. It is true that one man's trash is another man's treasure!

I am the one who found the bag... I have not been able to find a serial #. Also haven't found anything else on the web like it. I think it's from the 70s...

Wow That's one gigantica bag! I hope it authentic! If it is, that's one hell of an awesome find! Good Luck!

baglady and litigatrix would be able to give you a answer to authenticity/style/year etc. They can tell a lot from the serial number. You can post photos of it here Authenticate This Fendi

Exactly, I can't imagine that someone just tossed it to the curb like that. What luck!

It looks to be in a usable condition - what a great piece of luggage.

Not to burst your bubble yet - but you should authenticate it anyway.

I bought what I thought was a 30 year old chanel bag from a reputable vintage shop here in sydney - and found out a year later it was a copy (from 30 years ago)!!! So there are vintage duds out there too - just check to be sure - fingers crossed :-)
