Hi Ladies!

I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this beautiful taupe colorblock CHAMELEON. Absolutely beautiful bag and the interior is awesome! I love the 2 main compartments and the middle zip compartment.

The leather is durable yet pliable. I wouldn't feel like I need to baby this bag. The handles feel GREAT! They are flat and soft with plenty of thickness/cushioning to keep them feeling comfy on your arm. I wouldn't even worry about patina/warming on these handles, like I do with my Bals.

I've been a Bal addict for 2 years and love the leather and size of City...not for everyday tho. I carry LV Totally MM right now for everyday. I was thinking of the Chameleon as possible everyday if the strap felt good. If not, possible special occasions only.

Here are the reveal shots and modshots so you can see what the Chameleon (large) looks like on a 5'4" person. I did comparisons with Totally MM and Bal City too. (pls excuse the scrubby at-home outfit and the canine extras )

So here are modshots and comparisons. For a bag this size, once it is loaded, I know I will want to carry on my shoulder much of the time. However, the handles only fit on the arm or in your hand. You need the shoulder strap to be hands-free.

The shoulder strap is probably at the shortest setting I would have it. Notice the excess strap is pretty long. If I shortened the strap any more, the excess part would look ridiculous.

Large Chameleon and LV Totally MM

Large Chameleon and Balenciaga City

My thoughts: Beautiful, well made bag. Suprisingly not really heavy. They designed a great interior. I LOVE IT! The hardware is just right for a little something but not flashy. I wouldn't have to baby this bag. I think I would love this size on me if I were about 3 inches taller. It looks AMAZING on the taller girls but for a pint size like me, I think medium or small would be more appropriate/flattering.

Seems to be the same size as Totally MM. It's about as wide as the Bal City but taller. It definitely appears bigger than City...has more of a presence, if that makes sense.

Based on sizing, I'm returning this lovely Chameleon. She is in MINT condition. I cannot see any notable signs of use or wear. I got her from Yoogi's Closet for $1595, in case any of you might want to snatch her up!

I hope this helps other Chameleon lovers!

Thank you so much for your modeling photos. It really is such a gorgeous bag...sorry that you need to return based on size. I own the small version of the Chameleon but in black with the Gold HW..Stunning. It is really an amazing bag for me, and I am about 5' 3 1/2 or so...just about your height. You may want to consider this smaller version as an option if you get a chance to try it on. It is really deceptive how much you can fit in the small.

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the post. Yes, we are the same size, it seems. If you can do a modshot with your small, that would be awesome! It will likely be a long time before I get a chance to see the other sizes IRL.

I am stunned by how spacious the interior is and I'm sure even the smaller versions will hold alot...I know other Chameleon owners have mentioned how much the smaller ones hold.

I really enjoyed seeing and holding this beautiful bag.

Lol! yeah, our Bals do leave some things to be desired...

Thought about an interior shot AFTER I packed up the bag and taped the box....

Here is one I found online. Different bag obviously but the interior is the same. Those 2 compartments on either side of the middle zip are huge! The middle zip is a great secret stash pocket. All my stuff fit so nicely in the two compartments.

Plus, you get the wall pockets! They did a good job designing the inside.

wow - I love this bag a lot, the color tones are amazing.
I like the size on you, although when you wear it crossbody it does look large. I wonder if this bag is like the Bal work, the more you use it, the more it softens and seems smaller.
I love my smaller size Chameleon, and I think I have seen one somewhere in the Fendi forum that has the lighter-weight leather like yours. That sounds like it might be ideal for you. ( I also totally recommend one like mine).
Sorry it didn't work, but don't you think it's a great bag?!

The colors on the taupe colorblock are awesome...Incredibly versatile and can be used year round. I really loved the colors too.

Because the leather is much thicker, I wouldn't expect it to smooshy and soften to the extent a Bal would. They are so different in feel. It has softness but this bag will maintain more structure than Bals. Bals just FLOP! they are the boneless jellyfish of bags!

It looks huge and overwhelming on me when I wear it on my shoulder. Small or medium would be more ideal sizes but then it would only be an occasional bag...and at this price point, it doesn't make sense for me to get an occasional bag. For so much $$$, the bag better earn its keep!

As I said, I'm happy I got to see and touch this beauty. Anyone who has found the right size and is able to use theirs regularly is a lucky gal!
