I would get that Spy and put you out of your misery if I could! I agree, the corded and the woven are very different. You can have both! Go get that bag!

I'm calling tomorrow after work to see if it's still available. I need to go back to the store and take a second look. I'm leaning towards getting it. Thanks for all the opinions and information. If I get it, I'll post modeling pics soon.

Just remembered I wanted to get some info on blushing. Does it depend on the color? Do some spies not blush? Wondering what to expect with my corded spy and also with the woven spy, if I decide to get it.

I would get the corded spy if I was you its a stunning spy, very chic, not to keen on the woven one. Blushing should not be a problem with either of these spies as all leather now is given a special treatment by Fendi to reduce the risk of this, its older spies that sometimes had this problem. I would wait if you decide to get a woven spy, the new winter colours will be out in a few months and they might bring out a different colour in the woven spy.

Thank you Saich! That's good information. I'm especially glad to hear about the treatment that prevents blushing. I wasn't sure what happens and how fast. I hate being extra careful with my bags. Now, I won't be concerned when I start carrying my corded spy.

There you are, Saich! I was starting to wonder where you've been. If I remember correctly, you have (or had) more than 1 corded, right, Saich? Also, doesn't BalLove have a corded?

Ageless, I think the corded is a stunning bag, and particularly in that cherry. Because of the corded effect, it absorbs and reflects light in such an interesting way, and holds its shape in a way that some of the other Spies do not.

Excellent, it holds it's shape too. I'm glad I was in the right place at the right time. I absolutely love it and can't wait to wear it.

I hope this isn't a bad sign but after looking at pictures of the Fendi Spy List provided by Lit and comparing my corded spy, I'm starting to wonder if there's a problem with my leather. It looks a little suspect. I took pics of all four corners, front and back. Also, wrapped up in the paper that it was stuffed with, was another older dust bag. This is in addition to the one the store put the handbag in. Let me know what you think about this:

Mine is like that in places, too, but maybe not quite that bad. I think Saich had also bought one from Saks and it had the same issue (but maybe I am misremembering) and she either sold or returned it because she didn't like the way the leather looked. It doesn't bother me terribly, but you have to decide whether it will bug you or not.

Both are gorgeous, but I prefer the corded spy. I used to have one and it was SO smooshy... the woven spy doesn't seem like it would be that soft and smooshy, and that's one of the best things about a spy in my opinion.

The woven looks gorgeous, and I sure wouldn't say no to it... but I do think the corded is more special.

Hi Fate, how you doing, yes you are quite right I had 2 of these bags, well 3 in all....lol.....and as Lit says one was return to Saks as some of the leather was quashed and this opens up the pleats, which I do not like, I sold another and now have one left.
Ageless....I think the problem with this bag you have,it has been in the store for a while, so perhaps thats why the corners look like they do. Its a stunning bag and very chic, and you did get it for a great price, but if you are not 100% happy with it then send it back as its still a lot of money to be half hearted about it.

Thanks for shedding some light on what's going on with the leather. I didn't start to fully look it over until I thought about the fact that the style came out a couple of years ago and wondered how it showed up at NM now. I didn't know if it had been stored incorrectly or worn and returned since the old dustbag is inside the purse. Can't believe I missed that one. The price is definitely amazing but I have some thinking to do. I kinda feel like it's tainited or something and I have to love it to keep it. I've bought quite a few beautiful bags lately and only go for the ones that I absolutely love. I'm gonna leave it out so I can see it and try it for a while before I decide whether it has to go back. Thanks, ladies, for all the great feedback.

Ageless - I have one of these bags in perfect condition and its just so beautiful, thats why I sent the one squashed back as I am a bit of a perfectionist regarding spy bags....lol.....its if you can live with the worn look or if you are like me, everything has to be perfect, which is a pain.....good luck with your decision

Actually, I am just that...a perfectionist. It would probably bug me a lot if I kept it. I might be holding it with two fingers, thinking cooties may be in there or something. It's a curse sometimes. My friends say I'm anal and make fun. I like things newish, until I put the twists and turns in it. Then, it's not so bad. You girls have been a great help. Now, I know what I need to do. I was feeling a little blue but I'm ok with it now. I have other babies to care for, that just came into my family. I can do without this one!
