I only 'discovered' this bag today over in the YSL forum as a comparison item. I like it a lot in solid colours already and it's adorable here as a tricolor (or is this considered color blocking with 4 shades)? Oh dear...I haven't seriously, seriously ever fallen for a Fendi bag before but now....gee! Something new to check out!

Holts doesn't have a single one right now! What a disappointment today. I saw a black one on Overstock.com today but I can wait...

Hi again,
I want to report back that I am really loving the chameleon. It's pretty much my everyday bag. (Someone PM'd me about it today, but the PM was somehow deleted, so I hope they read this and PM me back).

I think it's a great red, definitely a strawberry red with pink, not orange, undertones. It's a red that goes with almost all colors, excepting salmon or burnt orange tones. But it's great with hot pinks, bright oranges and most other reds.

It is a slightly heavy bag (compared to Balenciaga or BV), due to the thick leather, so I don't load it up. The leather is almost like a textured patent (I think it's called Amazon leather?) and I think it is going to be exceptionally durable. I wouldn't worry about using it in bad weather. I've had so many compliments on it. I like the hardware, it doesn't scream Fendi, which I like.

Hope that helps anyone thinking about this bag. I would definitely recommend it, and would actually be interested, if another if the opportunity presented itself, maybe in the other leather. The style is really easy to use. And I do use the crossbody option too.
Love it!

If you're still keen on this bag, SAKS have them available online again in the aqua/red/black/tan colour combination :)

Trying to be good
I found it on some street snap shot from the mag and did a heavy search on it. Now, I'm debating the larger size. But they have to have the right color combo that I love. :)

I'm so glad to hear you love your bag. I am eagerly awaiting a pre-owned one. I got either the medium or large...not an expert yet to know the size difference but the measurements sound like a good size for me. Anyway, I'm super excited to see if I love it IRL. I used to carry Fendi all the time, so it's kind of nice to get one again. It seems to have more softness than the Antigona, which I have been eyeing for a while. I like that the handles are flat since rounded ones are not always comfy. Hoping the shoulder strap is wide enough to feel comfy with a full bag. Sometimes, a should strap is so thin, it digs into your shoulder. I love that yours is RED. I just recently sold my Balenicaga Ruby City and kind of miss a vibrant red.

Will do! It's apparently a taupe colorblock...must see of the shades of taupe work for me. Plus, I'm pretty sure that it is a large. I'm only 5-4, so I'm hoping it won't be too big for me.

Have you compared the weight of your bag with that of a smooth leather chameleon? If so, is there much difference? Mine will obviously be smooth but I love the idea of the textured so it doesn't show wear as easily.

in another thread a Fendi SA said that the smooth leather is lighter weight. I'm not sure how much difference, but this is why I want one of each, haha .

I don't think it will be too large for you, at all .

Well, I've been on a Bal addiction for two years and am now diversifying. Will let you know how this smooth leather bag feels compared to a Bal City. I know based on the measurements, the chameleon will definitely be bigger, so I'm expecting heavier. If it's too heavy, it won't work for me cuz I still gotta load it up.

Easy for you to say that the large won't be too large. Didn't you get the small one? All the shots I see online are with girls who have legs a mile long. It may end up looking like luggage on a shortie like me. Would love to see some modshots on TPF but I cannot seem to find a single modshot from a member...you included!

BTW, here is the shot that really got me head over heels in love with this bag. My style is super casual and look how awesome it is with the casual outfit.

OMG! Look at how beautifully this bag smooshes in this shot.

Anyone else notice that Nordstrom, NM, etc. have all increased their prices for their Chameleons by a few hundred dollars? They caught on! LOL
