An update from me!

My Aunt who had bought a bag with me from the Cincinnati Saks Off 5th tried to return hers at the Cleveland Off 5th.

They tried saying that it could not be done since it was from there and that they didn't believe that the bag was a fake. I told them my story and what happened and they said that they would send the bag to Fendi headquarters and if found to be fake, the money would be refunded.

Well, a few weeks later what do I see but a credit on my Saks card. So even Fendi headquarters knows these bags are fake.

I urge anyone with a fake bag bought at Off 5th and a receipt for it to return and even let them send it to the headquarters if necessary!

Wow! Thanks for the info daloo...somehow I suspect that bag did not even make it to Fendi, probably somewhere at Saks, the truth is known...

Hey Ladies!

I got my money back from Saks Off 5th. Apparently, I kept my original receipt and all tags (even though they were detached) and the store manager was all too familiar with the case, so no argument on my part. The only thing I had to do was return the bag.

wow..just read the whole thread...what drama! I can't believe Saks. I had gotten a Fendi baguette from one of the outlets in texas (i think stafford) and thought it was fake. On a recent trip to Italy, I took it with me and had it checked by a friend whose mother works at a Fendi boutique. she said it was real even though my hologram came off. she told me there must have been fake bags at the outlets and then some that didn't pass quality control. i'm still not sure though

if the hologram came off, that is a serious problem. You should post pics for us to look at.

OMG...if Saks even sell fakes, I can't imagine how I would shop anywhere else besides the actual store. heck, once someone finds out if their stuff is fake, wouldn't that kill their name? seriously, the buyer of Saks is prolly a crack addict! I bet there are prolly lots of people out there buying their expensive bags from them and think those are real. I feel bad for those pple.

After reading this thread - I thought I should post - my brother in law recently purchased a pair of Rock and Republic's for my sister from the Off 5th store in Buffalo and I was certain they were fake - she took them to a speciality boutique in Toronto - that carries Rock and Republic and they were certain they were fake as well. She is going back this upcoming weekend to Buffalo to do some shopping is going to try to return them - I'll keep you posted with the results! I thought it was a one off incident - but it seems like this might be a not so uncommon occurence!

I would like to add just a little something to this.
Nordstrom Rack and Off 5th do sell things from other stores in their outlets. They also sell things from the Mother Store.
Neiman Marcus Last Call does not. The mother store runs them and they only take in things from the Mother Store.
I have friends that work in the home office of NM.
I had another friend who worked the other 2 outlets and told me the first part.
Just an FYI.
I have also heard of employees trading the bags with Fakes and people returning fakes.

Crazy...I was at the Off Saks in Cincinnati last year and was intrigued by the Prada bags. Prices were fantastic but I just couldn't pull the trigger thinking that the price was just too good to be true. After reading this thread, I'm guessing they were fakes as well.

Actually, you're wrong. Neimans Last Call does take in things from other sources and not just the Mother Store. For example, they have a Gucci event 1x or 2x a year where they receive a shipment of items directly from their Gucci supplier and NOT Neimans. I am very close friends with the managers in my local store which is how I know that certain items are direct from Neimans whereas other things come from various suppliers.
