What does daniel mean by "why youu won't let friends buy fake bags"? Hum because we want real worksmanship, something that won't fall apart in 1 month, fake dye that irretate our skin, don't want to promote child labor & save the embarrasement of people point at you say " omg! That bag is a fake" !? I rest my case thanks!

Just to clear the Air on this Subject. I received the following info from someone who works for FENDI:

"Hello,
They are still making holograms on the new bags. I'm pretty sure they always will. It's a way for us to know if the bag is real when we send items out for repair."

Kalahai - if you really did get such a statement from Neimans, they were wrong. Another reason I don't rely on info from SAs at stores. They really don't focus on authenticating features - it is not their job to pay attention to such details. It is the FENDI company's obligation and our Passion here at TPF on this thread.

I need to see a pic of the leather imprinted serial #. It is either on a leather strip sewn in opposite the hologram tag, or it is on a patch on the lining of this bag.

This one may be difficult to tell, the Sporty is one of the most often faked bags, but there are authentic versions as well. Can you get me some more pics: close up of leather serial # strip, clear enough to read the code on it (it is opposite the hologram tag sewn into lining). more pics of interior including lining. If you can get a better pic of hologram tqg that would help also.

Also, if you have this in your possession (?) let me know as you could provide more tactile info IRL

Also, LMK: is the leather best described as: 1) Thick sturdy pebbled leather or 2) glove soft & slinky leather ??

Also, can you tell me the wording completely on the card after the word "sporty" - the pic does not show all the wording.

Thanks!
