Authenticate This Fendi

Hi Hannah - I see this is your first post, welcome to the forum!

Greendrv seems to be the spy expert and if you PM her, she can probably help you out.

I share your concern about the handle not being braided. The lining inside the bag is supposed to have the FF pattern, and the hologram image seems in line. What does the number on the hologram tag show? Another indication is the quality of the leather - how is the leather?

I'm confused by the pics you posted. In the first one, it would appear that the handles are braided. However, in the second pic, the handles are clearly smooth. Are these pics of the same bag? The bag in the second pic is definitely fake. An authentic leather/zucca spy has tortuga handles (fake tortoiseshell embossed leather): it shouldn't be braided or smooth.

Based on the available pics, I'm leaning towards authentic. However, I can't say with 100% certainty, especially given the price.

Why do you think the price is cheap? I emailed her and she says that she would accept £700 - do you think I should avoid?

The retail price for a spy bag is $2075 USD and most people are selling excellent/mint condition spy bags for nothing less than $1700 on eBay. Anything less than that is incredibly suspect, especially when it's a BIN auction, and then she offers to lower the price even further! That makes me think it's a fake that you could get off of ioffer for $300 USD and she's just trying to rip you off.

secret shopaholic, I am 98% sure the bag and seller are fine. She may be very keen to sell as she states that she also owns it in brown. Also, she has sold some LV items to MPRSs who have left positive feedback. Good luck

Maybe you could ask them for more pictures? The inside of the bag, that's a clear indicator and also the font on the serial number...
