I think it's authentic crocodile. Although I've never dealt with this seller personally, some of my trusted sellers have with positive experiences.

I'm not sure about authenticity, but does a spy in this color even exist? http://cgi.ebay.com/Used-AUTH-FENDI-...QQcmdZViewItem

No, the spy was only produced in a true red in crocodile skin, never nappa. And those run around $25,000.

Thanks Greendrv! I thought so too. The only "red" in nappa is the cherry red one which Victoria Beckham has, I think.

Thanks, Greendrv! I've e-mailed the Seller, she says she's going to check with her Fendi girl & will get back to me soon.

I was just having a browse around and the price for this fendy spy looks a bit low. Do you think the bag looks authentic?

This Seller has One Stock Photo for a $2000 Baguette (the same for all expensive items), all previous Feedback are for cologne or perfume Only. There's a 14 Day Return Policy for this particular item, for others - it varies, some are 7 days, others 30 days. Do you think it's way too risky, or it's okay since they have a Return Policy? Many thanks.

Greendrv, update on the Croco Baguette - the Seller wrote me back and said it's genuine. Thanks!

This one might be authentic, but I can't say with more certainty without looking at the leather serial tag, and a closeup pic of the leather grain. However, the zucca fabric is authentic, hologram serial number format is fine, and the texture seems fine given the low res pics.

jassie,
sorry, that's an obvious fake. Tortuga handles definitely do not look that way. If you look at the "Show me your Spy" thread, some tpf members have posted pics of their authentic leather/zucca spies and you can see what authentic tortuga (embossed leather to look like tortoiseshell) handles should look like.

I wouldn't risk it. I think this baguette is still available at some NM stores, so I would call around to see.

You're right, Greendrv! Two heads are better than one! I lost an auction I really wanted and was in a semi-desperate mode!
