Question Any problem with Spy bags color fading?

I have a baby spy in black, the color of my bag is nice. I carried it to Fendi and Salesperson told me that they think the color of my bag is nice and it was a good decision to have my bag in black, coz there are chance of leather color fading out with colors other than black.

With seeing the new baby spy, I am in love and could love to buy one in color other than black, but i am afraid if the colors would fade out..I am thinking of red, having any problem with Spy bags color fading out???

Thanks for the concern

I have several spy bags and only in the early versions did you have to worry about "blushing". As far as fading, I haven't had any instance of that and I do carry my spy bags quite often. Hopes this helps allay your fears!

^^^ Was it blushing or actual fading? This is surprising because for the later (post initial year) colors, Fendi has put some coating on their bags to prevent the blushing/fading issues. I wonder if they have stopped doing so. This is good to know! It would definitely impact future spy purchases. Maybe they thought people like the rustic look?

The other thing I was thinking is that maybe it's with the lilac color. I have never had good luck with purple bags. I don't know why. It doesn't matter how vibrant they start out, they eventually all fade.

I have a problem with blushing on mine! I love my spy, but the corners do not look so great. Is there anything that can be done?

yup, i think it has to do with the purple. honey looks fine, but if you look a little closer, you can see a little fading, but it just doesnt stand out. i will post a picture soon. i just brought it to a color professional where they will colour the bag in and then protect it from further discolouration. lulu, see if you can find such a thing in your country. http://colorwash.com.sg/ this is in Singapore though, but it does show pictures on how it's done. they can change ur bag into any colour you want. i'm thinking of dyeing my patent croc embossed ysl muse to black because patent white leather turns to yellow :(

Fate - HA!! Guilty as charged! I'm LUSTING after that Hermes raisin!!! It is amazing! I've been so bad lately. I'm afraid that hubby will go into the "bag" room.
