It's not working for me either... it keeps saying "Sorry no matches." I tried searching by user name in the advanced search in the Chanel forum only. No matches.

Please PM me the exact search conditions, so I can find out what's wrong.

Edit: Nevermind. I think i'm searching for a member that doesn't actually exist anymore (one of the many names of Hinna, her username wasn't on the member list).

can we please make things easier for the tech team when reporting a bug in the Search functionality? This is to ensure that your report is specific and will not prompt Vlad to ask, "Can you give a specific example please?" or "Elaborate please."

I suggest the format below. It's just an example. It's up to you to fill in the words which are not in bold.

I. Steps to recreate:
1. Type "birkin" in the Key Word(s) field.
2. Choose "Hermes" in the Search in Forum(s) field.
3. Click Search Now.

II. Expected Result
Posts containing the word "birkin" are displayed in the search results.

III. Actual Result
No results are found. "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. " is displayed.

For the Steps to recreate part, you may choose to describe it in a paragraph.

Or if you want to do away with the numbered parts, just be sure to mention:
1. Exactly what you did.
2. What you expected to happen.
3. What happened instead.

Again, this is just a suggestion. To make things easier.

Hi Vlad,

I have a question. Does the Search do a multi-word search (I don't know how you call it) or does it search for the occurences of each word?

I guess what I'm trying to do here is like the Google search, wherein if you want to search for multiple words in a certain order, you enclose it in quotation marks, like "blue jean birkin" and pages with that certain word order would show up in the search results.

When I tried to do that in the search with the words "ebene barenia" for the Hermes subforum, here's what came up:

Search: Key Word(s): "ebene, barenia" ; Forum: Hermès and child forums.

As you can see, it split up the phrase into two with the first search keyword owning the opening quotation mark, and the second keyword owning the closing quotation mark. The search results showed occurrences with the words "ebene barenia" in that order PLUS other occurrences with the words "ebene" and "barenia" far from each other (e.g. "xxxx ebene xxx xxx xxxxx xxxx xxxxx barenia").

I don't know if that's a defect or a current limitation of the search, which is why I didn't follow the format I suggested myself . Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the search is back. I'm just trying to do things to it.

This is the results I get searching for your nickname. Did you try to search for someone else, do you get the same results?
