I've tried to use this program after having my eBay photos stolen (I know--closing the barn door after...) and when I insert text, it doesn't seem to do anything. I've made the text not transparent, but it still isn't showing up. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? My font is big enough that I should be able to see it, TIA

Are you making a large box to put your text in? Did you check the size of your text? Did you check the color?

There doesn't seem to be a place to set the text color, but I've tried different background colors and even the background doesn't show up in the photo.

what I do is stretch a long box out across the pic. The click on edit and then insert text into selection. Write out your text in the box. Make sure text is transparent. Choose your font and size and color. Then click ok.

Yes--this is what I do--and then nothing shows up on the photo. I'm using a large font and I don't understand why it's not working...but thanks for trying to help.

Okay--an update--never did get the above program to work, but found another Freeware program that did work and is easy to use called UMark Lite. Here's the download site--for those of you who don't have Photoshop and are looking for an easy to use utility, if you are interested:
uMark Lite download and review - add watermarks to your images from SnapFiles
I had gotten 3 emails yesterday about my photos being stolen on eBay, at least one from a PF member--and it took a day for ebay to terminate the listing that stole my photos (even stole a photo of my finger!) so I'm definitely going to use this now on any listings that have stealable images. It seems that Balenciaga is really stolen a lot. I'm not sure that everything is stolen to the same degree (I hope not).

Found a great free program for us Mac users ... it's called PicMark. Here's the URL to download it:

do you have a program called "adobe photoshop" ?
if you do, open your photos in that application and go to the "type" tools and type your name.
