Chatting thread closed?

Hi!!
Been spending a lot of time at H-H, and trying to make an attempt to get to know eachother and have all lurkers post and share some HH experiences... The HH forum is new and needs some threads to jumpstart people feeling comfortable to share as opposed to all the lurking..
I borrowed the "let's chat/let's talk" idea from Chloe where we have a let's talk thread stickied..
The HH thread was moved.. are all let's talk threads being moved? I find it hard to find now and quite frankly now the thread has no action...which is a shame because it was a hit while it was located in the HH forum (less than 24 hours.).. it was drumming up the action that the HH forum needs IMO...
I am confused why bag talk and some personal general talk would not qualify to stay within the brand's forum. I think the move kind of deflated some of us..
Any enlightenment would be much appreciated, I don't feel comfortable pm'ing the busy mods about it..

teh reason we have different designer forums is because we need a place to discuss those designers.
We have a General Discussion Forum for topics unrelated to those designers or that have nothing to do w/ bags in general.
None of our designer subforums are allowed to have "off topic" threads because that's exactly what General Discussion is for.
Obviously people like to chat, so we felt the need to make the "Chatterbox Forum" so each group could still have their own thread.

We've evolved a lot over the past 3 years and this is how we feel it best works.

Want to add, some forums have designer related chat threads, those are fine, but your HH thread even describes itself in the opening post as "unrelated to HH".
Yes, all off topic threads are moved as soon as we know about them.

I know that many people in many different sub forums want to have general chat in their subforums (including birthdays, general, weight loss, relationship, etc). But if we allow this we loose all uniformity on the board, and we just can't do that. With a board this large there are plenty of other areas, outside of specific sub forums, that can have general chat etc.

Many other members put links to the general chat threads in their signatures - to get the group to move over and chat.
