Unhappy won item, seller won't respond???

I won a bid on Thursday, and the listing said that the item would be shipped right away with USPS Priority Mail and that a delivery confirmation number would be sent once it was sent out. I paid right away, but I haven't heard anything from the seller. I've already sent two messages, but nothing. Any suggestions?

The seller have 7 days to ship until PayPal's rules but it's so odd that the seller got paid but never respond to your e-mails. If you want, you should let the seller know that if you don't hear from them within a certain date you will file a non-receipt claim with PayPal, that should get their attention.

ive heard some sellers dont even bother to reply. You'll just be surprised that a package is waiting for you or you get a delivery. But what is the feedback activity of the seller?

oh and sometimes eBay has glitches wherein the seller or buyer doesnt receive ebay messages..this happened to me once...

That sounds very strange, but I hope you get the email soon. You can always file iwth paypal to get your money back if you don't hear anything.

I won and item and didn't hear anything from the seller a few days after payment, turns out she just had internet connectivity problems. I hope it's the same in your case.

Hopefully you'll get your item soon, unless something is wrong with her computer or she's had a family emergency, she should have said SOMETHING to you.
I find it horribly rude when the seller doesn't acknowledge receipt of payment so perhaps we'll give your seller the benefit of the doubt.
Let us know how this one turns out.

There have been threads on this before. If it is a low end item I am not too fussed if I don't get acknowledgement (although most sellers so) but a seller of a hign end item such as a designer handbag should be very communicative. I like to receive acknowledgement shortly after I have paid along with an estimated shipping date. I also like to be advised when the item has been shipped along with the tracking number. If these two events happen in close succession, one acknowledgement will suffice. When you are receiving that much money from a stranger you owe it to them to make them feel confident in their purchase.

Not all sellers are quick to get back to buyers, just like not all buyers are quick to pay sellers when they win auctions. Some people sell so many things they just don't have time for the little communication that helps a buyer's fears to let them know things are moving along.

^I guess so. But you think she would have answered at least one of the two emails I've sent already (asking if the item has been shipped). I'll let you know what happens. Thanks everyone!

I couldn't agree more! If someone is paying thousands of their hard-earned dollars for a high end designer bag, I want them to feel taken care of. I avoid sellers who don't communicate, and I make sure that I keep my buyers aware of everything that is happening. That said, however, I purchased a Chanel belt last year and did not hear from the seller for over a week. Her stepson had been critically injured in a plane crash and she was, understandably, unavailable. She was a lovely person going through a very difficult time. Life does sometimes interfere. Let us know what happens.

^^ just wanted to add that there are sellers who are all nice to you when you ask questions and during payment but after you send payment...its an effort for them to even reply to your queries

How pitiful is that??!! Sad, sad, sad. I appreciate the business and I want the experience to be wonderful for my buyers. As a buyer, I find it very scary when I cannot get a response from a seller.

oh yeah i always stay away from auctions where sellers dont ans a question or give me a runaround for photos...

i experienced one seller who took 2-3days to ans my queries until i filed a dispute on paypal...that sure got his attention...he was nice before and during the auction but like a magician...did a vanishing act when it ended

im glad you havent let the whole eBay monopoly sour your outlook on selling stuff...keep it up
