Default What's your bidding style?

So I'm trying to distract myself from the pre-bidding jitters and wondered if anyone else gets them. I've been obsessively lurking on one particular auction that ends tonight and I WANT this bag but haven't bid yet. I keep starting to and then making myself wait until closer to auction end so I'm not one of the people just running the dollar amount up.
But then all these random scenarios run through my head...what if I lose my internet connection? What if one of the kids needs to go to the ER? What if my laptop spontaneously combusts? What if I lose sensation in my hands and can't use the keyboard?
So I got to wondering...What are your bidding practices? Early bidder, late bidder, nervous bidder, confident bidder? Just curious if I'm the only one too jacked up to eat when there's an auction getting ready to end. Yeah, I'm a freak. Your point?

I wait for the 3 or 4 final minutes ... and then I bid! And sometimes it works!

Only once I lost an auction ... and it was because my computer had a problem!

I use an auction sniper to help me and its has been very reliable by far. I use Hammersnipe.com and I don't have to worry about not being at my computer to bid as it will automatically enter my bid for me in the last 10 secs.

I'll usually throw a decent bid out and then wait till it's ending if I'm super interested.

Years ago I got in a bdding war over this ring - wasn't even that great but it was going to go perfect with my wedding dress, or so I thought. The gal I was at war with emailed me directly after saying "Not cool"

I'm usually a last second bidder. It is so funny, I get shakey, my heart races...it's like my body is preparing for battle!

I wait till the last second always. I have never understood why people bid throughout the whole auction time...all that does is drive the price up! Oh well.....

But yeah, that's how I roll. . . .

I'll have to check them out. I've always been nervous that I'd use a sniper and it wouldn't work. Thanks for the tip

Yeah, when I check the auctions I'll actually say out loud, "Why are you people bidding NOW??" And somehow I never get those same people bidding on MY auctions, lol
