Default What would you do about a non-communicating ebayer?

I won a bag on the 'bay last night and paid for it thereafter. I asked the seller to reply to me to know she got my payment and she did not. I then messaged again to try and make contact this morning and by the end of the night I still have got nothing.

What kind of time frame should I give before I start worrying? (I don't know if the seller is a PFer, and I mean no offense - I just would like to know my payment was received and the ball was rolling.)

Anyone have some advice or similar situations and how they continued?

Was it a BIN? ALot of people who sell on eBay dont do it full time. So she may not go on her ebay account everyday. Especially if the bags been listed for a while. I say give it a couple days for her to respond. If she doesnt in say 2 more days then try to get her contact number through ebay and give her a call!

I would give it another day or two. What if she hasn't been online?

Nope, it wasn't a BIN.

I'm probably just jumping the gun with the nerves. Spending a lot of money on the 'bay and not getting immediate responses kind of puts me on the edge a little. I need to

I wish there was a way to see if buyers (and sellers) have read their e-mails. Then it won't stress you out if you know they haven't read it yet.

But ya... I'd at least give her a day or two. It's the weekend... maybe she's on vacay!

Honestly it is the weekend. If my eBay emails were not forwarded to my iPhone I would never check them Fri-Sun and often I ignore them then unless I remember that I have an auction that is ending (but all my stuff is on BIN). Also, since few people would ship on a Sat. I wouldn't expect a response until Monday when they prepare to ship weekend sales. People (like me) like to take the weekends off :)

Yes, but you can't open a dispute for a non-received item until 7 (or 10??) days after the auction close.

I've won something before, paid right away, emailed them to make sure all was well....and not heard anything back for weeks. It is so aggravating because I felt like I was being scammed. I would wait a few days. After that you could always get the phone number and call the person.

Amen, coachfreak!

rachieface: Did you pay through PayPal, and if so, did you not receive a receipt for the item in your email? There should definitely be a receipt in your inbox immediately after paying with PP. If so, you have your receipt and you are covered. Just give her a bit of time to respond, or watch your email to see if you get a shipping notice. Some sellers simply don't communicate. Don't panic.
