Default what would you do?
On September 11, I won a pair of sunglasses on eBay. The seller accepted my offer in the morning and I paid immediately after I was notified that I had won.

I hadn't heard from the seller, so I e-mailed her on the 15th to ask her if she knew when she would get around to shipping the package. She noted that she would be shipping the package out that afternoon or the following morning and that the tracking information would appear in my PayPal once it had been shipped.

I received a notification that the post office was electronically notified to expect the package on the 17th. The package was coming from Arizona to California which usually only takes 1 or 2 days. The package didn't arrive on Friday, Saturday and when it didn't arrive today I got a little worried.

I e-mailed the seller to ask her which day she actually shipped the package since the tracking said they were only electronically notified. She replied by telling me that the fact that they were notified electronically meant that it was already shipped and that she wouldn't say anything else to me until the package was delivered.

I was a bit floored by her response because I was very polite in all of my correspondence. Her communication wasn't the greatest. When she replied it was usually very short, and often didn't even answer my questions.

So, I have been a bit irked about her response, and I checked her feedback again because I noticed that it had gone down between the time that I purchased my item and today. Apparently she had called one of her buyers an idiot and was very rude.

I came home this afternoon and she sent me an e-mail stating that my package has NOT been shipped and that it was "accidentally shoved behind things in her trunk". She said that she was sorry would ship it first thing in the morning.

I am really upset with this because it has been 10 days since I paid her for the sunglasses. I really wish that she would ship them express because I've been waiting for so long, but since I got such a good deal and her obvious lack of customer service, I don't really want to ask.

Also, I don't feel like I want to leave her positive feedback, because she has horrible communication, a bad attitude and it didn't seem to bother her that she hasn't sent my package out yet.

How would you handle this situation and what type of feedback would you leave?

Thanks for your help..sorry this was so long! :P

I would leave her negative FB....there is no need to be rude to a buyer that is just politely inquiring about shipping.

Obviously do not be rude in your FB, just honest.

Just eloquently write something that will warn other buyers

Easier said than done, right?

I'd leave neutral feedback, explain shipping incident, but give her stars a big fat ZERO in shipping & communication.

If the sunglasses arrive safely and everything else is ok, I'd leave a neutral feedback. Ding the shipping and communication stars.

I think I would go with neutral and ding her stars as well.

I'd ask if you could get it express as you've been kept waiting. You have every right.

Probably neutral, though. Ding her stars either way.

I was definitely planning to ding her stars. I'm waiting to see how the sunglasses arrive to determine what I want to say in the feedback.

I wanna ask her if she can ship it express, but I'm afraid she'll be rude about it and try to like...not send it and refund me or something crazy like that.

By then, I would've told her to keep the glasses. I would've offered to do a mutual withdrawal in exchange for a quick refund.

Your seller obviously doesn't care about her customers.

Neutral feedback if the package comes nicely packed and as described but ding her communication and shipping time scores.

Negative feedback if the sunglasses comes in a bubble envelope without proper packaging that might lead to damage and ding her communication and shipping time scores.

Keep in mind that giving "zero" stars (meaning none of the stars are lit on the DSR scoreboard) means nothing and doesn't affect her overall score. Ding her stars by giving 1 star.

Good luck.

Low stars, neutral feedback of " bad/rude comms, extremely slow shipping, will not use again".
This is providing the sunglasses arrive at all ,in good condition and genuine ! Although i wouldn't be giving it much longer before i opened an INR !

I e-mailed the seller to see if she would ship it out express and have received no response and also sent her a message on eBay asking if she has shipped the item and have received no response. It's funny because I received immediate responses to all other correspondence.

Regardless... I just wanted to know...how many days after I have paid can I file for INR?
