what to do..item not received

So an item was bought on eBay sent out the 13th and till this day it has not arrived. Item was sent first class but it was stated it would arrive 2-5 days by the post office. Confirmation number shows they (usps) received info and a scan in Jacksonville on the 17th but havent gotten recieved any info after that. Post office has been contacted but they were not helpful..Insurance was not offerd on auction so what now?

I used paypal but im wondering it not insisting on insuarance would be my fault...

Post office is awfully slow right now with the holidays...it's been about 10 days, and there was a holiday in between, so give it until next week I would think.

No, it's not your fault. It's the seller's responsibility to provide insurance, not the buyer's. Give it a few more days, but after that you will probably have to file a claim with paypal.

^^That's right! It's the seller's responsibility to get the item to you safe and sound. If you do not receive it, you can file an "Item Not Received" paypal dispute. Since the tracking number does not show "delivered," you will probably win the claim. Good Luck!
