Default What to buy at Hermes sale Thursday?

Hermes Costa Mesa, Ca is having a sale this Thursday. I am so there but I don't know what to buy. I have never sold Hermes before and don't know too much about it. They are moving to another location in the mall and are selling shoes, clothes, and scarves at up to 60% off. I don't think there will be any bags on sale.

You may find more advice in the Hermes sub-forum if you haven't already found it - the posters there are super knowledgeable.

I happened to wander in here this morning and see this thread.

If you decide to buy from the H sale for resale on eBay there are a few pitfalls.

Hermes puts a giant S stamp on their sale merchandise. Most Hermes buyers don't like the S stamp and consider it defacing. Try to find inconspicuous stamps. On occasion, you'll actually stumble across an object that didn't get stamped.

Some buyers will still buy the items, even with the stamp, but almost all ebayers know exactly what the sale price was, and they'll walk if it goes too much over the "on sale" price. If the item is listed at or near retail, you'll get some irate seller questions. One exception would be if you happen to stumble on an exceptionally rare scarf pattern, but it takes a bit of OCD to know and remember what those patterns are.

Also, people who buy Hermes on eBay get seriously up in arms if an S stamp is not revealed very clearly in pics and description.

Scarf buyers get especially upset about this. There are a number of private Yahoo collectors groups that have lists of blackballed sellers who haven't revealed S stamps, so make sure any stamp is pictured and very clearly. Never, ever try to remove the S stamp.
