WOW, what the heck did she walk on or walk to in those two weeks

I hope you left Neg feedback, and will consider either redoing the soles, or returning them to her. I hope she pays the partial refund, but since she was dishonest to begin with I doubt it. I would return it, this would leave a bitter taste in my mouth regardless of the cost.

If you really love them and you got a great deal, I would consider fixing them and enjoying them. Maybe consider giving a neutral to seller for falsifying the actual condition and the slow shipping? Over the years, I have gotten some great "fixer-upper" deals on ebay, and I didn't want to send the stuff back even though condition was not perfect.

Well I'm guessing she didn't accept my request for a $50 refund because the case is being decided by Paypal and they have until Dec 4th to give me an answer...UGH!

^Sounds like seller will ask for it back (or claim that you did the rest of the "damage" to the soles).... hope this goes well for you OP.
