Default What feedback would you leave?

OK...I purchased a bra on eBay, paid immediately, as always, (shipping was
$7.00 for a bra? Ok, but thought it would be sent priority at least)

Well, I received it 8 days after payment. It was mailed in an inside out
'Pasta Roni' box...(First Class Mail for $1.68, mind you) not to mention
that the seller hasn't even left me feedback.
I sell too, and ALWAYS leave feedback when payment is made. (Yes, even
before the eBay changes!)
There's just too much that irks me about this transaction but I haven't left
feedback yet...what, if any, feedback would you leave?

Just curious...

I would leave an honest opinion of your transaction. I just left a neutral when I thought I should have left a negative but didn't want to "be mean". The seller then filed a NPB claim against me (I paid right away she was just lying ...see my thread) and I wish I'd followed my initial instincts.

I did ding her stars pretty hard and left a harsh message even though it was a "neutral" pointing out all the things she did wrong.

^^ITA^^ I'd leave neutral and maybe make a comment about the shipping time and charges. I'd also ding her stars big time under the shipping time and shipping and handling charges. They way she shipped the item is just ridiculous. She could have shipped it in a padded mailer priority mail for $4.80, and the cost of the padded mailer would be probably not even a dollar.

Now a neutral is 'mean' as it affects your score. (Which I think isn't fair) But then again, I feel a bit 'ripped off' with her shipping method
and cost.
Gosh, this is just so silly talking about such insignificant stuff

If the item got there safely, but not in a timely manner, a neutral if you feel it's warranted. How about asking to have some of your shipping fee refunded? That seems fair.

I read where in a few weeks or so that there are changes coming in the feedback and that neutrals will no longer factor in as they are doing right now. If that's true, it won't matter in the long run. I think a neutral is just that, it's pretty much saying "the transaction could have and should have been better".

I would ask for a shipping refund of $6. If the seller complies then you go from there. As for me, I would leave neutral because a bra in a Pasta-roni box is not right and neither is charging 75% over what really cost to ship

shipping is stated though, if she promised priority ask for a refund, but she can claim it is handling, either way talk to her first, and then if not leave a neutral, a negative these days are really harsh esp. for sellers who are just trying to make some money, be honest

^^ I'm not sure leaving a "deserved" negative would be considered harsh. Haven't sellers always been "trying to make a little money"? I agree with you though about being honest.

Isn't it against eBay rules to try and make a profit off the shipping?

I think I'd email the seller and raise the points with her, depending on her response that would determine what feedback I left for her.

I would leave neutral about the situation.

I think excessive shipping charges is a violation on eBay. Is it not?

I loathe sellers who take too much profit from shipping!

I'd leave neutral if I were you and state the excessive shipping charges on the comment. My 2 cents

I had a similar situation with me this past week. Although it wasn't shipped in Pasta Roni box.

I ordered a SMALL, very lightweight Airport Card for my new laptop (wireless) and the seller charged me $5 S&H. Well, I figured no biggy, the combination of the item and the S&H was still a lot cheaper than other Airport Cards on eBay, so I purchased it via BIN.

Well, I knew when it arrived that it wouldn't be Priority Mail, but it was First Class, which because I have shipped many first class prints, I know it's only about $1.34-$1.68, especially for the size of the envelope he stuck it in.

Well, instead of leaving him a neutral or a negative, I just dinged him on his S&H charges (not times because it arrived quickly), as I thought $5 was excessive for what he shipped. But then again, I always had the option of purchasing elsewhere, so that's why I chose not to leave a neutral or negative. Overall, it was a pleasant, quick transaction.
