Default What Feedback would you leave??

I bought a CHANEL recently, it was described as having some minor flaws. I received it today & it was in considerably dirtier condition than disclosed.

For instance "spots" on the lining were more like stains. I was able to freshen it up quite a bit with baby wipes, tide stick & LMB. Obviously nothing she couldn't do before listing it.

The seller has all good feedback so I don't think she's as much dishonest as she is not looking at her items in good lighting while listing or just plain lazy about cleaning up her items before shipping.

What would you say in your feedback? I was thinking about something like: "Fast Shipping; Condition worse than stated but cleaned up OK."

have u tried communicating with the seller regarding your concerns? i think that is the best way to start before leaving a feedback...if you guys work it out and you're happy with the result then i guess a positive or even a neutral is ok :) but i really suggest talking it over with the seller first

yea i would talk to the seller before leaving feedback such as that. it might come to her as a surprise and she might respond negatively. maybe she might offer a partial refund to appease you. most likely not but eh.

I would talk to her firs. she might be really disappointed that she didnt describe better and do something to make it right. Or she might start ranting etc. her reaction should help you decide about feedback..

Was the only problem with the bag the stains or were there more issues that were not disclosed? Because to me, spots are stains.

If I were to have read the description, I would assume she meant that the bag had stains because the word "spot" really doesn't have any other meaning. KWIM? And if that was the only issue, I would probably just leave a positive and stating fast shipping and item as described.

Communicate with the seller. Give her an opportunity to address it before leaving feedback.

I sent an email several hours ago.. no response yet.

BTW - I humbly disagree that 'spots' do not equal 'stains'; there were a couple of pen marks which I expected but there were also two brown areas that measured about 2" x 3" and 3" x 4" a piece, the bottom panel of the interior was filthy and the edges of the cellphone pocket were almost black.

Sellers response was:

"Sorry it was not as clean as you would like, i accepted the low offer so if you wanted to get it clean it would be a good deal, chanel in new york will do it for about 150 to 200"

BTW my 'low offer' was $1200 when she was asking $1500... Maybe she that her intent but if she knew it needed a professional cleaning it should have been disclosed that she was offering it for a lower price to compensate for the cleaning it would require.

Now what?? Kinda of irritates me more than before that she KNEW it was that dirty & IMO played it down in the description.

OK - that response would hack me off. I would reply back that you feel the bag condition was under-described and ask if she would be willing to go half back toward the "clean up" or $100... Although you have already "altered" the condition and it doesn't sound like you want to return it... I would see how she replies to that ~ if she comes off just as flipant (I don't mean in a rude way-just a casual way) as her first reply - I would ask to return it with full refund and she can relist it providing an accurate description of the condition. Last time I checked, spots do NOT equal stains. Most "spots" will come out, a "stain" will not.

Well, I don't know what type of cleansers you've been using but I've gotten MANY a "stain" out of all different types of things over the years.

My point was this: If I were bidding on an item described as having "spots", I would naturally assume they meant stain or some other sort of word for a dirty circular mark that shouldn't be there. Unless, of course, I were purchasing a Dalmation. Aside from that instance, the word "spot" really does not have any OTHER meaning to ME other than "stain". This would've also prompted me to ask for a better description of and maybe even a remedy for the "spots" as well as more photos if I thought it was necessary.

Now, if she got the bag and it was just downright filthy - then that's another story.

I found this seller is a little bit annoying. How could she complain the low offer she accepted herself? Also, the stain is there with her original $1500 asking price. She should clean it up before put it for listing. I think a neutrel feedback is kind enough for this situation IMO.
