Default What do you do when item doesn't sell?

Hello, was wondering......do you relist right away? If it doesn't sell again, do you wait awhile and try later? I ask because I have two brand new Coach handbags with tags and all that I was selling for good prices. First I had a reserve so I thought that might have been the problem (I disclose my reserves though). Then I relisted and started the auction at my lowest price but still no sale. Tons of hits but no sales. So, I'm left with having to try to return to my source or wait awhile and retry. What do you all do?

thanks

I will usually relist it once, right away. If it doesn't sell that time, I take a rest & wait to repost it again.

As a buyer I don't like reserve auctions. As a seller, I've found I do pretty well with BIN's w/ a Best Offer option.

I haven't been following the latest Seller news, but there might be another strike starting May 1st. (I think the press is calling it "May Day". ) You may or may not have the traffic you desire for your bag because of this.

Because I don't know how prolific this new strike will be, it's hard to say when it'll be a good time to relist. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that whenever you decide, it'll be a good experience.

Oh and here's a blog that's following the recent strike:

http://boycottebay.wordpress.com/
Actually she might have the traffic since there will be fewer items on sale because of the strike. Sellers strike, buyers continue to browse.

I normally wait awhile and relist but with the strike coming, I'd just wait until it's over

I relist my items 3 times maximum. They are usually just clothes, so if they dont sell the 3rd time, I give away.

Now if its a bag, thats another story! [I dont sell my bags though so I cant help you]

I relist once then if I have watchers but no bids, I'll relist.
Otherwise, I just give up on it for awhile, it's a waste of money to keep relisting something that has no interest.

I relist right away if theres watchers. After three times I wait awhile, then try again. eBay really takes your money with their seller fees. It adds up after a while!!

"Most of the boycotting sellers have closed their eBay stores and moved to other venues taking their customers with them."

do you have any idea about where they're going?
