I stated in my auction clearly that i ONLY accept paypal payment if the address is confirmed. But one buyer from Demark BIN'd it few hours ago without asking me, so i send a invoice to him/er that i will accept bank deposit since s/he is not paypal confirmed.....

What to do I do next? How do i cancel the bid and get my listing fee back? I checked the buyer's feedback, she/he only registered in March 08, and got all the feedbacks from buying "fake" D&G tank tops

I think you'd just have to wait and see what her respond is... She may refuse to pay via bank transfer and agree to mutually cancel the transaction. If it's not through mutual agreement, you'd have to wait 1 week before lodging unpaid item report.

If you are a powerseller, you can sign up for added protection against problems with unverified/uncofirmed buyers, I think.

You cannot confirm your address if you're in Denmark. At least that was what it was like the last time I checked.


edit: And I'd think the seller would be even less protected if (s)he pays by bank deposit than you would be if you let them pay by PP, so I wouldn't be too surprised if the buyer wont do that. If it's a new user, maybe they don't even know what having a "confirmed" address means and just didn't know any better.

I know besides UK and US, you can't have your paypal address confirmed. I usually don't make a big fuss about that, its just this buyer's feedbacks, only 15 feedbacks from 1st of April, all from buying "fake" D&G logo tank tops. This is a bit odd.........seems that this persons trying to build up the feedbacks or after something.

ok....i send a message to the buyer again to discuss the payment option, i have a feeling that he/she would NOT pay regardless i accept paypal or not. Damn... so sick of eBay now!

I personally wouldn't risk taking Paypal from anywhere you can't get a confirmed address (therefore abiding Paypal's Seller Protection Policy).

And as a precaution, you can do "immediate payment required" for BIN's. That may reduce the amount of buyers that try to bid outside of your buyer requirements if you have settings listed to block bids outside of the US.

I've contacted the buyer again, and no reply.....stupid eBay, and now i have to wait until 4/5 to relist it again!! Next time, i will NOT put a BIN option

There is an option to block all buyers in countries you don't ship to. That works great because if they're registered outside of your country then they will be blocked from bidding on your auctions. I LOVE this feature! It saves me a ton of headaches.

ok, its been 7 days and the buyer hasn't responded. How long do i have to wait to get the final value fees back after i file the unpaid item dispute? Can i relist it after i file the dispute?
