Default Weird USPS Tracking - any help?

I'm tracking an item on USPS, but I have a question.
This is what it is showing so far:
  • acceptance (sender's location)
  • international dispatch
  • out of foreign custom
  • arrived abroad
  • into foreign customs
Has this happened to anyone before?

What's weird I don't get you. It's sitting at customs in recipient country.

How is this not weird?
I guess I should have elaborated.

First it was fine, it was into foreign customs, no problem.
The next day I checked, it was out of foreign customs, arrived abroad, then into foreign customs again.

Either this is a scanning problem or the item is going back into customs after it was sent back out?

The first customs I believe is the sender's country customs - they have to make sure it's not a bomb or something before it gets onto an air carrier. Second customs is the recipient country's customs maybe to determine if buyer will be required to pay tax and such.

OR

It takes 2 plane trips to reach destination and the first was a stopover in which case they will still scan it.

Does it matter? The final scan shows acceptance. That is most important right? I think it is more the order it was scanned.... it must have 'arrived abroad' before it was 'into foreign customs'. However, I am sure that USPS can tell you more detail what the particular scans mean.
