Sometimes I place it in there just to see if I really want it.

Others.. I could be watching another auction and if it gets to be the same price or more.. I'll most likely buy the BIN item.

I watch them to have time to make a decision on the item. One time an item I watched didn't sell and then the seller relisted it at a lower price. I hadn't thought of that happening, but it does occasionally happen and that is a good thing for buyers out there.

Sometimes I am trying to decide between a couple of things - sometimes a combination of BINs and auctions. So if I don't win the auction, I may go back and reconsider the BIN. For me it's all about not having the money to buy everything I see and want!

I'm trying to decide if I really want it. But mostly I watch the BIN for a while so I can compare it to others of the same.
There has been a few times where I saw something for a ridiculously high price and watched it. I wanted to see if someone actually bought it.
