Hi, I'm Sara!

Default Re: My Violet SGH came but she turned out to be a pair of Vans...

i'm not sure if it's been discussed so far...as i don't keep up with this thread too often now but i do keep checking back to make sure that everyone is refunded...i really want a happy ending to this horrible mess.

but anyways back to the question--

what are the police exactly doing now ? It seems like awhile ago that everyone was discussing leaving info with the police so that they can build up a case, where are they at now with the case?

& wow...just skimmed the last couple of pages...and i'm not the least bit surprised that she's had alot of financial problems...i mean only a desperate and sick person would scam this many people and expect to come out of it squeaky clean. And that poor handyman!

Just spent an hour or so reading this thread and wow....I'm so shocked someone would do this (but not suprised after reading about her past)

I wish all that were scammed the best luck in getting back all your well-saved up money and getting this person convicted!! What a psycho!!!

I guess Oklahoma doesn't have a three strikes law?

I agree with the sociopath theory. Just because she is a repeat offender, doesn't mean she has to steal to eat or some terrible thing happened to her. There have been people who put as much energy into being a thief as they do pursuing legal means of earning their way since the beginning of time. eBay is just a place that is ripe for those criminals. Too bad.

Unfortunately, I believe that these court cases are primarily civil matters where "3 strikes" don't count. She has only had a couple of traffic violations (speeding and failure to yield I believe) as far as criminal complaints that show up on the Ok dockets.

However, I believe that if the OP and the others were to file criminally and investigators were to see her records, they would be able to see a "pattern of behavior" which would help make their criminal case. Based on the court's own records, it's perfectly obvious that she just didn't hit a bad financial period in her life. She obviously knew exactly what she was doing and intentionally, and maliciously calculated scams in order to steal money from others. I'm no attorney, but my guess is that due to the amount of money that she has scammed people out of (thousands of dollars), she is looking at felony counts. Not to mention that she also used the USPS which I'm sure adds Federal offenses to the list of crimes she could be charged with.

I certainly hope that the authorities have been contacted and that we might learn something as well. Of course we must understand that if indeed there is an ongoing investigation, the victims will be asked not to speak about the case with anyone (especially not on the internet, I'm sure) so as not to compromise the investigation. So I, for one, am hoping that "no news might mean good news". Otherwise I think that the victims would have told us more than they have up to this point.

GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!!!

I certainly hope that all who have been scammed by this person have made a police report AND reported her to the state attorney general's office, FBI, FBI's Internet Crime Division, United States Postal Inspector, and anyone else they can. Only the victim of the crime can make the report. I am sure that the court records we see are only the tip of the iceberg-who's to say that this RO person doesn't have similar problems in another state...As many of you mentioned before, this person has the tendencies of a sociopath and will not be stopped till the authorities throw her in jail. She does not care about authority (obvious by the way she does not show up for her court dates) and has the 'I'm the victim' mentality---BTW, one of her court cases was where she and her mom sued Ford and won an out of court settlement because the car did not have a piece of equipment listed on the window sticker at the dealership--once again, pattern of finding a way to work the system to make a buck (she probably sued Ford to 'prove' that she wasn't at fault for her own traffic violations of 'failure to yield'). There are other ways to get out of debt other than scamming and stealing-ever hear of bankruptcy???? This is why I have no sympathy for someone like this....

Wow......I am really speechless. I don't buy things very often from eBay, just sometimes and I've gotten scammed 2 times and my feedback is only 24! Nothing big like a designer bag, just a 7FAM skirt and a juicy jacket (which both turned out to be fake btw) and the sellers both became unregistered quickly after that. However, money is still money and I work hard to buy all the things I want, so even if it was $200, I still feel very cheated (cannot bear to imagine $2000!!!!!)

I'm getting more and more scared about buying this off eBay now--especially expensive designer handbags. And I was just eyeing a Chanel last night on ebay.....

There are so many cheaters on eBay now!! *disgusted*

I am so flabbergasted....astonished.....sick to my stomache..... This is absured!

I feel sooo sorry for those who were scammed and this makes me even more sick to think it could have been me. I was cruzing eBay for my next Bal and came across her auction. I of course had it authenticated and remember Robotdoll mentioning that the bag was authentic but she was a little weary being that the eBay account was new. After messaging the seller and receving many friendly emails, having it authenticated and also seeing she was a 'trusted' tPFer, I thought, you know.....why not bid? Everyone has to start somewhere on eBay and I tend to give everyone the benifit of the doubt. I bid, won and received my beautiful, authentic, Bal bag.....prompt delivery, as described, perfect transaction. So, I left positive feedback-of course. I dont know at what point the transactions turned sour as I do know many tPFers did bid on other items she had and also had a positive experience. I feel soo sorry for those who truested everything would go as well as we had experienced......we all left such awesome feedback......but I guess once positive feedback was there....then all this happened.

This is also so frustrating because eBay is supposed to be a fun place to shop. Its events like this that make it scary for buyers and sellers both and ruins it for the innocent. Im so thankful we have such a trusted place like this to vent, authenticate, meet trusted members and help others who were wronged! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LADIES!!!

Since you had a transaction with R-O, you may have important info that the victims could use. You may want to pm them with your info.

Is there a specific person in charge to pm?

CitCat can give you the particulars hon. I know there are others too, one hopefully will chime in soon and take away my floundering posting....

I am curious on how hoe she did manage to get satisfied customers though. AND manage to sell some authentic bags. Theft perhaps? She con sellers maybe? You know, buy a bag, claim it never arrived, opened another account under a different name from a different computer and sell one or two... then figured out she could scam people in other countries... who knows what evil lurks in the mind of a scammer? Like we said, it goes deeper than what we know, I'm sure of that.

She probably was using the resale value of BBags to get cash out of her credit card. Buy BBag with credit card, sell BBag on eBay, get cash, default on credit card.

Or maybe she just figured she'd do a few actual legit sales to PF members to establish herself as trustworthy. I know she had her bags authenticated in that section several times and of course at one point she was boldly authenticating bags herself !...As I recall in that section (authenticate this ) buyers were cautioned by Nicole and Robot and others to realize that dancing*in*my*manolos aka R-O did have a very low number of sales and feedback. But the fact that she was a "trusted PFer" gave her MUCH credibility. Can't tell you how many of her auctions I watched, but thankfully did not bid. She was good at this stuff, so we shouldn't feel bad about falling for it. I just hope people who lost their money can recover it.
To awhimsychic: if you have not yet gotten info from anyone about your situation (who to send the contact info you had from your transaction with R-O, etc), post again and say so. I think everyone is laying pretty low on this thread and thinking/hoping someone else is manning the helm. Or is anyone actually in charge of coordinating all these details for the case????? I know the general consensus is she has been lurking here as a guest or other registered name, so don't want to give out too much info.

O....M....G! I just finished reading the whole thread - that was intense!

I am simultaneously disgusted by this R-O person and overjoyed by the response from the girls/guys in this forum. You have done a great job restoring every bit of faith in my fellow humans that people like this R-O have tried so vigorously to destroy.

Best of luck to the victims - I'm sure all will end well.

Also, as an aside for those who were wondering, you can change your IP address by cold-rebooting your router - mine resets nearly every time our power goes out - or funneling all or some of your activities through a proxy server. Though these methods may fool a basic IP tracker such as those used by most message board apps, they don't do much to fool computer forensics/law enforcement.
