Default UK Trading Standard

I accidentally bought fake UGG boot on eBay a few months ago. Paypal gave me a hard time when i tred to get my refund despite of proving it was fake.

For months they refuse to refund me as apparently i miss my 3 day window of opportunity to retrieve my pennies. I fought to get my money back as matter of principle. The whole situation was pretty ridiculous but decided they are not getting away with it.

I read somewhere about 'Trading Standards' UK. They're like consumer right 'figher'. Cut the long story to short, they manage to get my money back after a month or so.

So people having problem with eBay or Paypal, get in contact with your local 'Trading Standard'.

Google it and you should find one in your area.

Greta news. Yes we do have rights as consumers and Paypal can not overrule the law. Well done on your victory.

I bought a pair of fake Roberto Cavalli sunglasses on eBay and my trading standards was crap, they said they could take action if the seller sold lots of items, but did nothing. Glad they worked for you though

i bought a fake "nicer dicer" a few months back, trading standards were pretty good with it, gave the seller a stern warning and did tell me what to do about getting my money back, i wasn't really bothered about getting the money back , just wanted the seller kicked up the arse, i hate to be taken for a fool !
i kicked up such a stink they got kicked off eBay too
