Default Too short jeans?

Hi all!

I bought a pair of Citizens of Humanity Ingrid stretch jeans (I own a pair and love them.)
So, they arrive today and are so short!
They were new with partial tags and said they had a 29 inch inseam-- and they do. But, my other pair is a few inches longer and the seam looks different.
I guess it is clear that I did not read the length information-- but, should she have mentioned they were shortened? I guess it is possible she didn't know...
They look ridiculous on me and I am willing to chalk this one up to eBay experience but what else, if anything would you ladies suggest?
Thanks all!

If it says it's a 29" inseam and that is what, in fact, it is; I would just relist them and move on.

The seller should have mentioned that the jeans had been hemmed without the original hem. If the seller did not state the measurements and hemming, you could technically file an item not as described dipute. It will probably depend on how much you paid for them. You will not make a ton selling jeans with such a short inseam and without the original hems. Good luck!

I suppose you could ask nicely if she could take them back. But if she says no I think your option is to resell them. Yes you should check measurements but she should have said if she had had them shortened too.

since the measurements were listed..I'd just resell them yourself..she may have purchased them that way and not known they were shortened or maybe it was a manfacturing error

Citizens normally don't come under 32 inches unless they're cropped. It should be a clear sign that they were hemmed esp if they had a 29 inch inseam. The fact that they were mentioned 29in inseam with a picture of the jeans won't really help you in your SNAD dispute. Honestly, it really sounds like it's buyer's remorse cause the jeans don't fit the way you want. Just a tip that next time you buy jeans, make sure to measure the inseam that's right for you.

I tend to agree that you should know what measurement you need before buying the jeans. They were obviously altered b/c citizens don't come in a 29 length. I think you should just have them altered into a pair of cute crop length jeans.
However, my sis-in-law sold a pair of jeans a couple months ago and listed them as pre-owned with an inseam of 31". Someone won the auction in the last 3 seconds. (Probably didn't read the description.) Then sent her an email & filed a claim that said the jeans were too short for her. Even though she listed them as used and gave the inseam in her description, paypal agreed w/ the buyer! Paypal said that they had to agree w/ the buyer b/c they couldn't see what was actually sent to the buyer. They buyer even admitted that they were 31" in length, but they needed them to be longer. Just another great example of how horrible eBay is becoming for sellers!

Thanks everybody!
I guess when I read the NWT description I assumed they had not been hemmed. Now, of course, I get that assuming with eBay is a recipe for trouble.
I will chalk this up to live and learn and maybe try to sell them myself.
Oh well...but, I appreciate all the advice.
And, this is definitely buyer's remorse-- I am remorsing the fact that my eight year old nephew could wear these!!
