OMG same annoying thing happened to me!! I also have great fb etc etc and tried to RELIST something that didn't sell the first time; I contacted Live Help who said the usual bull**** on emailing the trust and safety dept. Which I did, and they reply back with some more crap on how they won't remove it and will review my account after 90 days. But I still got charged with the fees when the item didn't sell the first time How is this fair??????

I also replied back and told them that with all these fakes going around on eBay and with sellers who have much less fb why are they restricting ppl who've been around a lot longer and sell authentic items? It's because of financial reasons that I need to sell; not for whatever other reasons they might think. I so hate eBay right now...

I finally got a positive email back from Trust & Creepy;they said I could relist my bag - that they looked at my account and saw no problems with this. They then suggested that if I had a problem to use Live Help. I hit Relist and got my standard big Red box so I contacted Live Help and they were not able to help me. I mailed Trust & Creepy again and will await the outcome!!

Or does one just fib and put another brand? I would think their would eventually be some sort of repercussion if you get caught. Icertainly don't want to get a 12 month suspension !!

I feel like the eBay police are multiplying like the secret agents in the movie The Matrix!!!
i'm not sure i understand your question. the thing that seems to trigger the restriction is putting a designer name like vuitton or chanel in the title. you tried to avoid the problem by not doing this and putting only "handbag, purse" in the title. what i'm saying is that people who do a regular search for louis vuitton (by typing it in the search box) will not find your auction. those searches only search titles -- they do not search anything else (which is why you are not allowed to put "ashley olsen" or a celeb's name in the title but you can put it in the subtitle or in the body of the auction). the only way to find your listing will be to use the search feature on the left with the drop-down boxes and i don't know if anyone searches that way. even if someone does search that way, they still will never find your bag because there is nothing descriptive in the title (like the name of the bag). there are certainly people who have nothing better to do than browse through hundreds of listings but i don't think they are the majority!

pm me if this doesn't make sense.

Oh how funny! I just set my husband's eBay account up and his first item he has ever posted is a Chanel purse he is selling! So I can't sell Chanel purses even though I have all along, but my husband who doesn't know Chanel from a plastic bag gets to post one.

Go figure! M

Pretty funny. I told him, "You are now selling a Chanel bag honey - LOL." Thank goodness he doesn't know how much it cost. He was wondering why he could expect to make so much from the sale and I just told him, "That little thig? It's has just appreciated over time." I feel so wicked using my poor husband - LOL!!

FYI my listing for a pair of shoes was not allowed (presumably because of the designer name in the title).

hi again I was able to revise the item and put pochette sophie. Handbag and it went through! I have one watcher for it and hopefully now it can go under lv when people do search

So everyone is having this problem, I have a few bags I want to list and it keeps telling me I can't edit or list for 30 days. You have to put the designer name in the listing . Is this because of that Hermes lawsuit? What can we do
My items are authentic, I have copies of receipts, plus show authenticity cards. This is very frustrating.

Italian Fashion, who did you e-mail to get your restriction lifted, and what did you say? Thanx!

i think it's less an issue of authenticity and more that lvmh simply does not want their items to be resold. i think the restriction on buyers with perfect feedback (like me) is simply a limitation on selling lvmh brands, period. the next thing i'm going to do is try to list a non-lvmh handbag -- wish me luck!

ZuZu Maxx- what a great idea! I also posted 2 LV items and got the dreaded red box warning! I had no bids at the time, but watchers so I wanted to go in and make a change in the BIN price to hopefully get things going when the red box came up! I could ask my brother to sell my items under his account- there is no rule against this is there?

As long as he has his own eBay ID, his own Paypal account and his own bank account it is fine - oh, and if eBay lets him list it. I just can't believe my husband can sell a Chanel and I can't.
