Me too. Weird. I guess it takes too much time to just email everyone separately? They must just be reviewing and lifting, reviewing and lifting. It's probably just a push of a button.....

No I have 2 ids one for buying and one for selling. I tried to also list on my buying id just to see if it would work and it did not. They lifted the limit for my selling id but not buying id.

Exactly. I'm one of the small, new sellers but still managed in my first 6 weeks to sell over $2K. All authentic, all positive, glowing f/b, but apparently it's not enough.

Re sellers who can list, I do my usual searches and I'm seeing huge prices.

BTW, I emailed and asked for parameters and the response was to sell "other" things (I don't have piles of "things" sitting around to sell, KWIM?) and that they can't give guidelines because it is "constantly evolving." Also the email stated that they were trying for a "better buying experience" at least twice. No mention of the "selling experience."

Bottom line is they don't want me selling.

I too had a Balenciaga pulled today. Since I personally purchased the bag in NYC I know it's the real deal. I did post in the "Can you Authenticate" section to see if anyone is familiar with Barney's sales tags to see if it can be de-coded as proof to eBay that it's the real deal. (I saved the tags, just not my CC reciept)

It seems eBay has thrown the baby out with the bathwater. Don't buy their stock, it's going to get a lot cheaper in the next few weeks and months.

I just tried to list a piece of vintage Chanel costume jewelry. I was given the 30 day notice. This is understandable because I am a new seller (but I have been buying since 1999 and have 100% feedback on over 400 items).

In quickly re-reading this thread, it seems that some of you have tried to relist your items before the end of 30 days and the listings were accepted. If I try to relist my Chanel pin in a week will I get into trouble with eBay? I send them a "letter" saying 95% of the things I had to sell were personal, designer items and that I felt I could NEVER sell on Ebay because of their policy.

Thanks to this thread I got most of my questions answered. Here's my story:

Bought a super beautiful red quilted Chanel from eBay recently but ended up not liking the size (another story) and need to sell it asap to fund another new found Chanel bag. I listed it and but had to make revisions and then the popular 30 day message popped up. When the bag didnt sell, I tried to relist it immediately but the red message kept popping up. I was mad and tried ways and means to relist it (the amount is quite high hence the urgency to sell). Ended up reading somewhere on Pg 10-11 to change the name and I listed Cha nel instead and it went through! I did a general search in the PM and couldnt find my item. I rechecked and realized that Ebay had pulled my item due to trademark violation. I then wrote my 5th email to them asking them what the heck is going on and what I need to do to relist the bag immediately. The responses from them were all genrated emails, they just changed the sentences around and coming to the same conclusion, try my luck in 90 days.

I also read from here to do a new listing and I also re wrote the listing (if that helps??) but nothing has changed. I still cant list any Chanel auctions and am afraid of getting my account suspended now due to the fact I tried to cheat the system...

The thing that pissed me off the worse is that I listed another red Chanel last month and a stupid and dumb buyer happily hit BIN without the intention of buying. I reported the buyer to eBay and nothing has happened! I ended up paying the listing fees for nothing and the bloody buyer went off scot-free! And I am also banned from selling for the next 30 days??? C'mon!

I am considered a new member. I started in Dec 07 but have spent more than $20,000 buying Chanels on eBay. Just this week, I spent $4000 on more Chanels and they didnt seem to have a problem with me buying! I pay promptly and am always communicative. I hate the fact that sellers cant give neg FB to the crap buyers out there so we can warn the rest not to fall into the trap of some scammer. Thats out the window now .

I have a love hate relationship with eBay, period.

I've been a member since 01, 100% feedback, US. I'm not a powerseller, in fact I'm more of a buyer than a seller. I've only got about a little over 100 feedback. I'm listing Coach items, I've listed 7 within the past few weeks and today, when I tried to list my 8th item, I got that notice.

Sigh. I'm a teacher and I go back to work in a few weeks, which means I won't be able to mail packages as easily as I can now. I can't wait 30 days to sell the remaining 3 items I want to list... ugh. This is lame!

Sad and oh so typical! My advice is to keep trying to list and to keep sending emails. I got the 30-day notice for weeks. I also sent about 20 emails, most of which very nicely requested a review of my account and my sales record. (First few emails - not quite so nice!). When I finally got a response from an actual person, I emailed him to thank him for contacting me. I had given up by then, so my email was very resigned to the fact that I could not list, and I was very pleasant. I told him there would soon be a new auction site for handbags (didn't say where) that I would be listing on. The very next day, I received a notice that I have no more restrictions on my account!! It's insane. I have not yet listed anything because I simply don't trust eBay or eBay buyers anymore, but I did a trial relist of an older item to be sure that I COULD list, and it was allowed (did NOT click on "List This Item"). I have no idea why they lifted my restrictions, but I am so gun-shy now, I'm giving serious thought to never listing again on that site.

Wow, glad I am not the only one. I was starting to feel singled out or something. I started separately the letters of the brands like I have seen others do. I have emailed *bay and I get auto responses saying something about "restrictions on certain items". My items are all authentic, however what is up with the people who can list fake whatever all day long w/o the hassle?
