Just wanted to come on here and update. I sent several emails since Friday and finally got my response from eBay. My limits HAVE been lifted. So there is hope for some of you. I have no idea what they look for, but I have been a member for many yrs, am a Power Seller, and buy/sell loads of purses. (ok by loads I mean anywhere from 5-15 a month-lol). I have over 900+ FB, but am not 100%~more like 98.6%. I have been suspended once before so that does not matter either. Good luck to the rest of you & just be patient(I know it is very hard to do), but they finaly got back with me.

You said they lifted it but you had sent several emails. Did you need to do anything else other than say please raise my limit, I am not a threat to humanity as we know it or what? Just curious.

^^I just told them my situation. That I was selling authentic Coach with receipts and would they please lift the restrictions. I asked for an appeal on my account in my email and in another i asked for them to raise my limits. So who knows which one they actually read and responded too. i assume the 1st one. I did re-read their email and it said they "raised" my selling limits. So I would assume it is not totally lifted and that I will still have some limits on how much i can sell. I just do not know that "magic" number. Good luck!
Oh, and I was nice about it. I do not know if it helps to be nice, but I was not going to risk it-lol. Even though they pi**sed me off I held my tongue.

^^Congrats! Did you try to call your power seller rep? I sent 1 email yesterday, but I didn't send it through the PS portal, but I thought I might try to call instead...just a thought.

Kittie - Totally off topic here, but quick question: Deangirl or Samgirl? Luuuuuuv the avatar Okay, back to bags...

I have not been a member of the purse forum for long (or at least not posted much), but it will take me forever to post 500 times or whatever the limit is to sell on here. I certainly understand being cautious but with the experts on this board it's hard to believe that anyone would be able to get a fake by them.

Anyway, I don't know if I am more burned by the new feedback system or this nonsense. I am about ready to pull one of my auctions, though, just because I don't want to pay the fee to *bay until they come to their senses.
I totally agree! I'm new to TPF but I think with all the purse experts on here people would have to be nuts to try and slip a fake in! I hate to even provide eBay with ANY fees but right now I've gotten into a situation where I HAVE to sell stuff to pay for stuff I've already bought - which I did before I knew about this 30-day nonsense, unfortunately! And now the bags I thought would be a breeze to unload if I didn't want them are ones I probably can't even list.

THANKS!
I would love to but now I'm all paranoid since someone said eBay might view that as a violation and not only pull listings but freeze accounts. I'm certainly not trying to do anything wrong but I'm afraid evilbay might not see it that way.

Basically I listed items with an asterisk (ex.: Coac*h) in the main title and then put the "real" name (ex.: Coach) in the SUBtitle which seems to work. At least for now...

This whole thing is so ridiculous - are they even TRYING to target anyone with crappy feedback or just randomly screwing honest sellers with great feedback?

They denied my appeal, which really ticks me off, as I have 100% positive feedback score of 169.

Seems to me there is no rhyme or reason to it and lots of honest sellers are getting screwed.

^^ i got the 30-day rule message the other day when i listed a chanel bag of mine...i've appealed to e-bay to lift the restriction, but haven't heard anything back yet...they didn't pull the listing or anything, but i needed to revise the title of the auction & they wouldn't even let me do that...i've got 100% positive feedback & almost 300 transactions...i'm also an MPRS re-seller, which is something i worked very hard for...they told me it's all totally random & i'm sure that's true...but from now on, i don't think i'll be selling anymore high-priced items on e-bay...i just shipped my 1st bag to a consignment shop today...between the new "30-day rule" & the "no negatives for buyers" i've about had it with them

I'm with you. I think consigning bags is about the be the next big thing. After you pay eBay's enormous fees, you will probably come out at the exact same place, monetarily. Good luck!

I just checked with a consignment shop..... I only get 50% of the sale price! Is that the norm?

Check with personalshoppers or fashionphile (on eBay). I know they charge less than that. I believe fashionphile charges 30% and personalshoppers charges 20%.

I wouldn't go there if I were you..... Vlad and Megs aren't going to give in to nagging, whining, or the excuse that "eBay won't let me sell" and change their policies for tMP admission.

I strongly recommend you guys inhale, exhale and wait your turn to get into tMP. You many end up getting banned from tPF otherwise.....

I just did the same thing as I have been banned for 90days. My listing went through but it doesn't show up in the searches yet. Did yours go through fine? When you search Coach does it come up??

The argument about brand dilution is wrong for some designer brands. I'm thinking Balenciaga specifically. Only so many are made. I'm sure us bbag nuts on TPF would not buy as much at retail if we did not know there is a healthy secondary market for when we fall in love with a new color and want to sell off an existing bag to fund our new purchase.

As far as Coach and the others go (Juicy is also on the list), I think their brands are more diluted by the sheer volume of stuff they put out there. So Coach has outlet stores and authentic bags showing up at TJ Maxx and the Rack. I don't see them going after discount liquidators such as TJ Maxx. Juicy bags sit there discounted at Saks Off 5th.

When these brands hammer eBay, they are also hammering their customers namely us.

I was unable to list Balenciaga. I have 1000+ FB, 100% positive and high DSR's. Emailed them and am holding my breath.
