Hey Stephanie, I'm glad you came back to the forum and big of you to take those comments in stride. And good on some of those girls to apologize. That jacket is a bit "out there" but how boring it would be if we all liked and wore the same stuff. It looks fabulous on you.

Yes... using a credit card for PP purchases gives you "back-up" protection. When buying ON ebay, with PP you can file SNAD and INR CLAIMS. BUT, that's no guarantee that you will WIN the claim. If you were to LOSE a valid claim, then MOST CC co's will file a charge back on your behalf and refund your money in cases of fraud and INR.
When making NON-ebay purchases and using PP, there is no PP protection. In this case, ONLY by using a CC via PP would you have ANY protection against fraud and INR.

I assume that you are paying via your bank account? If you do not qualify for a reg CC, then research pre-paid CC's to see if such would offer the same charge back protection in case of fraud and INR.
Whatever CC you get, DO make sure they offer Charge back protection for fraud and INR. Not all do, so ASK.

There are MANY loopholes in "PP Protection", so using a CC can provide a back-up consumer protection plan.

It's my understanding that setting up PP account is not standard within Germany and that you usually deal on ebay without it, and that it's also not the normal situation for you to have credit cards. This leads to some misunderstandings between international sellers/buyers.
I'm not clear on how you are covered for any transactions that go wrong on ebay without the guidelines Ellie Mae gave above?
And personally I love the jacket, but obviously it needs the personality and individual style to carry it off, it's all about how you wear it girl! Glad it all went well for you in the end.

Really? Hmmm.. I know a few members in Germany, and as far as I have heard they do use PP and a CC... BUT... perhaps they are an exception & not the norm.
IGNORE me, Steph, if I am way off base about Ebay/PP in Germany. Won't be the first time!!

No problem and thanks for the tip.
In germany not everbody is an owner of a credit card.

You NEED to have a special income here in germany to get a credit card.

Ahhhh... I did ask a few members I know in Germany & all did tell me they have PP accounts and use CC. But all did also say that bank tranfers are not that uncommon in Germany. Do be careful.

In the US, they send CC's to our DOGS and our kids in the mail.

Yes, I know how it is in the US!
So at least I don't have that income which I really would love to have for more CL's, my dream bag Chanel 2.55 and so much more...
