Default So confused. Am I banned from selling cause I asked a questions?
A little over a month ago I wrote to ebay asking what I could do to have the 30-day selling limit removed. I never heard back from them so I kinda forgot about it. Well, today I received the following message from Ebay.

Dear (my name),

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to contacting Community Watch and
placing an appeal. Your email was forwarded to the correct department.

I've taken a look at your account history and, we won't be able to lift
your account restriction at this time. You'll be blocked from selling
certain items indefinitely. Future violations may lead to additional
restrictions.

If you want to appeal, please wait six months before writing us back. At
that point, we'll be happy to review your account.

To be clear, it's against eBay policy to sell items with the name or
logo of a company if the product hasn't been endorsed by that company.
Also, the sale of counterfeit items and unauthorized copies is against
the law. It's the seller's responsibility to make sure that items for
sale are legitimate.

As always, our goal is to keep eBay safe. We may remove listings that
breach our policies and suspend sellers who violate policies.

You can find more information about counterfeit and unauthorized items
here:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/replica-counterfeit.html

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Siegfried

Ummm, wth. I'm now blocked indefitely because I had a questions. And it took them a month to come up with that. I soooo wish there was something better that ebay. I tried listing something on Bonanzle and got zero comments/questions/offers. So sad.

Why were you banned to begin with? It says something about counterfeit and unauthorized merchandise at the bottom???

Ebay is SO LAME sometimes. I tried to sell a Maggie Sottero wedding dress and they threatened to ban me because I was not a part of Maggie Sottero Inc. Isn't pretty much EVERYTHING on Ebay a name brand with a random Joe Shmo trying to sell it????

GL OP, this is lousy :(

Ebay has lost it's mind. Everthing I've sold on ebay has been purchased by me and my listing always has included the original sales receipt. It's so crazy. I didn't use any copied logo's or anything like that in my listing. I was selling using a new ebay account that I recenly created. Wow, this is so so LAME.

^^^^Ugh, I agree.....

I have gotten the "warning" emails too even though all of my items are purchased by me, with receipts, etc. The people who work there are clueless. They ban the good sellers and the criminals get to keep on selling!!

You may want to go over to the E-Bay purse discussion board, there is an honest to gosh real life e-bay employee from Trust and Safety that replied to a thread about restrictions...AND she offered to look at Seller's accounts!

I just got hit with a 30 day restriction out of nowhere and it was for an LV that I had authenticated by Carol.....all of the LV's and Gucci's I have sold have all been authenticated by her prior to listing btw.

Anyways, here is a link http://forums.ebay.com/db2/topic/Sho...#1253654248917

I e-mailed her and I am waiting to hear back.

Good Luck!

*Bay doesn't have standards or rules. They are so arrogant and rude. The whole situation is so frustrating.

I recommend Bonanzle, cheap fee's, item stays listed till it sells, what's to lose ?

^^ Yeah who wants to pay $30 in FV fees? I'd rather be patient and pay the $5 on Bonanzle.
