Default Should I remove a bidder who has a NPB in their FB?

What would you guys do? I listed my Coach handbag (my favorite one, I might add) because of financial hardship (obviously, why else would I sell it ). It is due to end tomorrow morning, and I just noticed that the current high bidder has a NPB in their FB, but when they left FB for the seller, they claimed that there was apparently a M/O sent and the seller never shipped item.

And of course, the seller retaliated by saying the M/O was sent 6 weeks after auction ended.

Even though I don't allow money order payments through any of my auctions (PP only), I am afraid that she will end up not paying right away, which would not be good since I am selling it for the money to begin with. I have no problems if the buyer can't pay in a week or something, but after seeing that negative on their feedback, that just worried me.

My question is (sorry for the long explanation to start), would you guys a.) cancel their bid entirely and b.) block them from bidding?

Or would you just risk it and see what happens? There are a total of 12 watchers so far (which I know means absolutely nothing), so the chances of her winning the auction could be slim. But you never know.

Any advice would be appreciated. TIA!

With the amounts of bids I'm getting on eBay, I'd give her a chance. If she can't pay with money order, she can't do that again. But, you could always send her a polite message during the bidding process that says something to the effect of "I'm so excited that you bid! But, based on your feedback, I just wanted to make sure that you intend to pay during my specified time period"

This is true. Perhaps I'm jumping the gun. I would hate to cancel her bid(s) and then be stuck with a low ending price. I still have less than 24 hours, so I will wait and see.

Thanks for the advice guys!

I would not say anything and let it ride. What does the rest of her feedback say?

I'd probably ride it out. I mean the person could be the highest bidder now.. but you have quite a few hours before the auction ends. Besides if most of her feedback is pretty good, this is most likely an isolated incident. And there are always second chance offers.

I'd see what happens and they if she doesn't pay, you can always file a NPB dispute and then do a second chance offer to your next highest bidder. Who really knows what really happened with the other seller with all the crap that goes on on eBay these days....

I think I'd give her a chance - there are so many scammers on eBay that maybe she was the victim of one. The worst that can happen is that she doesn't pay, right? and then you just relist without losing anything...

I wouldn't suggest removing the bidder for one NPB. Why? I have been given a NPB strike for an item that I did not even bid on.

Update:

Just wanted to let everybody know that I luckily didn't even have to deal with that bidder. Not that she would have ended up bad, because you never know.

I had someone offer me not much less than my BIN price (which was still up) so I accepted and she paid immediately.

So, in this case, luckily, problem solved. Let's hope she loves the bag as much as I do. I will surely miss it. But, you can't eat your handbag.....

Thanks to all for your wonderful suggestions. I appreciate it.
