I was in the same boat shipping to Italy. The darn back charged me 10.00 for service charge for receiving wire transfer and short changed me 20.00. Going to find out tomorrow what happened to my money.

I am just saying that the bank may charge you a service charge just like paypal.

Hi LT Bag lady, I am in Galway - I'm off to Donegal for a wedding this weekend though. Thanks for all your info about shipping - not that clued up about shipping too and from the states!

Thank you everyone for your help!
The lady sounded very nice, and she said she has purchased from US before with Paypal, and her address is Paypal confirmed. So maybe we will just go through paypal? If she files a claim against me within Paypal, will I lose all the money and the bag?
I don't feel like asking her to do bank transfer, and I don't think she wants to do that either.
I'm a bit confused at this moment.

Not sure how her address can be confirmed as Pay pal can not confirm Irish addresses? It can verify them though - confusing I know. Basically Pay pal can check your credit card through giving you a password but can't ring you to confirm your address. The status on the invoice always says 'unconfirmed'

If you are a power seller you can ship to unconfirmed addresses and have Paypal Seller Protection. Call Paypal and ask them to help you handle this transaction.
Cheers,

LT bag lady, thanks! I'm not a power seller, obviously, I know so little about eBay and paypal. :)
I'll waiti to see if she bids on it, she said she needs to think about it. But she seem like a very nice lady.
