Default Shipping question - po box

I just sold an Hermes scarf and my listing said I only use FedEx for shipping with signature required & PP for payment with verified & confimed address.

Item sold BIN and buyer has a PO Box for address.

How do you get proof of delivery when shipping to a PO box.

I just used FedEx cause we get a big discount at work & it keeps me from spending time waiting in line at PO & getting a box etc.

I emailed buyer to give me a street address but if I run into a problem is shipping to a PO box oK?

It was a $600 BIN now item that she bought within about 15 minutes of listing.

This is now in completed listings:

HERMES RECONTRE OCEANE SCARF BLACK AUTHENTIC - item # 170239709004

Seller has good feedback but a lot of the items are for real inexpensive things.

I am so paranoid these days.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

You insure the item or you pay $2.80 (I think) for signature confirmation.

Is this an eBay transaction? If it is you are required to use Signature Confirmation on anything over $250.00.

Yes it is & I want signature confirmation.

My question is: can you get that if you ship to a PO box?

That's a question you'll have to ask FedEx as I don't think they deliver to a P.O. Box. This is strictly for the USPS.

I also just sold an item and the buyer has a PO box. I was also wondering if you can get signature delivery confirmation with that type of address. It was for 179.99 so do I even need the signature?

You can get signature confirmation for PO Box, but I think you have to ship with USPS, as I do not think FedEx delivers to PO Box.

You can only ship to a PO Box if you use usps. As long as the PO box for your buyer is confirmed you are protected by PayPal. Remember to use delivery and signature confirmation. In my opinion it's safe to ship to a po box because the item sits in the post office until the buyer go to pick it up and they are require to show ID. Good Luck!

You just need delivery confirmation to be protected with PayPal, but for better protection signature is the way to go.

For your transaction, if it was $250 or over you need Signature Confirmation (which is a more advanced form of delivery confirmation). And definitely I would insure it.

yes, I used to have a PO Box. they place a slip in the box and you have to sign slip in front of them and they give you package.

UPS and Fedex don't ship to PO Boxes. Unless it's a different type of PO Box as in an industrial estate of large companies that has several buildings within the estate (I once worked for such a company) where there are no street numbers but PO boxes that lead to doorsteps.
