Default Sending foreign currency vs. paying in USD

I bought an item from a UK seller and she wants to be paid in GBP. Unfortunately the dollar value sucks right now, so if I do this, I'll be adding another $50 to my total!!!! Just in the past day the currency exchange went up for me :(

Is there a better time to get the best exchange rate conversion, favoring the USD? Doesn't seem like anything is going right lately - the economy is a killer all around!

Thanks girls.

Paypal does it automatically.
Paypal's currency conversion is dodgy though, always about £20 off.
That must be where they make some of their money.

Evil, evil i tell you!!

With the dollar being so weak, it looks like you'll just have to pay it. Sorry.
