I have my brand new bag which I bought and never used. Once I got the bag no matter how much I loved the leather or the color....it didn't seem to fit into my wardrobe so its been sitting in my room. I wanted to sell it somewhere where I wouldnt get charged listing fees like eBay....would craigslist be an option?? Would any girls actually be interested in purchasing of craigslist?? Need some opinions. Thanks

PS.....Or are there any other sites I can use that buyers would trust and that dont charge listing fees???

I would personally buy a bag from Craigslist, but I guess it really depends what metropolitan area you are located in and the probability of a buyer in your area, unless someone is willing to buy out of the area, sight unseen (does happen). Otherwise, I'd say just calculate your listing fees into your price and sell it on eBay...

I've sold a couple bags on craigslist before. It's nicer than flea bay cuz at least the person could be from near you and see the bag in person before purchasing. Just post lots of pictures and remember to refresh your ad every couple days as ads on craigslist tend to get buried.

If you're willing to ship, maybe you could post it on the craigslist site for big cities.

Just remove it and repost. Make sure you post under an account, so it's easier to do this!

I have sold a few bags on craigs list and I now have 4 more listed. I have been contacted by 2 scammers so far- actually 3- the print your own check scam and just today the he will cut me a check for more and that i need to send the balance back when i send the bag... i told thme to get lost and they should be ashamed to try and rip people off...everything has its pros and cons to it....at least this has no fees...just dont advertise such expensive items.... I would say good luck you.. just watch the scammers they are out there everywhere.

I have had no luck. In fact, my posts got flagged and removed because they were authentic purses and cutting in on the fake sales.

I scan craigslist every day for bags- I've bought an authentic Chanel and LV there (both authenticated here first) and they were wonderful transactions. I think you should definitely try.

i have sold several times on craigslist, but i do find that people on CL will not pay as much as eBay buyers might.

I agree AND I have had a lot of no shows when selling items thru Craigslist.

Yup, the same goes for me. I did have a few serious buyers on the good side.

I'll have to check on Craigslist myself. I'll bet the craiglist people are happy that eBay has gotten so bad.

I wouldn't try to sell a high-end bag on craigslist. People on there are looking for the cheapest deal possible in most cases, so even though you have to pay to put your bag on eBay, you're going to get it in front of more serious bag people, which will probably net you a higher price in the end if it's a popular bag in good condition. so even though you have to pay, it'll probably work out better for you in the end if you're smart, and the price you get (assuming the bag is a good bag) will probably offset the fees.

if you were selling electronics or furniture or something, i'd say craigslist is great. but bags...not so much.

i sold on craigslist once. but not a bag, a couch. a few people didn't show up. which was annoying, as we waited for them for a few hours. but finally one family showed up and it went ok, we sold it, but they kept trying to haggle the price. i find that i prefer eBay and just shipping the item. with face to face like craigslist, i felt they just wanted to cut deals on the price. but you do save fees, so maybe you'd be willing to go down on price a bit.
