How exactly does that work, and how long are you meant to wait before offering an item to a different bidder?
An auction ended last Saturday on an item I listed, but the buyer has not paid me, nor have I heard from him/her since the auction ended. S/he has good feedback though, so I'm not sure what's taking him/her so long to pay me. I just want this last bit of money so that I can withdraw all my funds from paypal without being charged! How long should I wait? I sent an invoice on the day the auction ended, then 2 messages since, and have heard nothing. I don't want to keep sending messages and chasing someone for money! Advice??

7 days is the rule for buyers on eBay. If they don't pay within this time you have the ability to file a non paying bidder through ebay. Then you will be asked to give the seller a few more days (I think) to reply to the dispute. Once you get an email from either the buyer or from ebay telling you they have paid or that you an make a second chance offer, then go ahead and do it.
Do bare in mind that the second chance offer can be rejected by the second highest bidder.

7 days - got it! I"ll send another invoice today then and mention the non-paying bidder thing.
Thanks!! God, I wish people would just pay on time!!

Yes I wouldnt give a second chance offer yet as the first bidder may still pay and you could end up with two paying. I would file a non paid item dispute after 7 days and wait for that to resolve first. Last time it happened to me I contacted the second bidder and told them the situation and they wiated for my item to be available.

Yeah its always best to give them the benefit of the doubt - they might have something going on in their life at the moment. I hope they eventually pay you! x
