^^^I KNOW! I almost did too, then at the last minute said I would pay the 27 dollar pp fee if they accepted paypal. I thought I would be able to authenticate it, but seeing it in person in the bright sunlight with the seller and her husband and my bf all staring at me.. I guess that impaired my judgement! LOL Not to mention its a darn good fake!

You can file a claim with the FBI.* I had someone scam me once on a fake LV for about $600, they scammed another person after me.* That person filed a claim with the FBI and contacted me so I was also listed as a victim.* It took about a year or 2, I didn't do anything the FBI did everything and the person was prosecuted.* I'd receive emails from the FBI from time to time letting me know the status of the case. There's a way to do it online or just send a letter to your local FBI office with all the info, her Ebay id, etc.

Ahh, all the crap/paperwork you had to provide to the credit card company is the same you'd provide to the FBI. It's trademark infringement and selling fake goods.

Also, these sort of enterprises are not small time. I mean they scam people for monies, staying at an amount that's enough to make a good amount of money but low enough that most people won't report them, blaming themselves, or if they do the local cops won't care. The FBI does, but for other reasons besides theft. In the end they end up scamming people out of thousands and thousands of dollars. While the victim, like yourself, is left kicking yourself. Yeah, it's naive in this day and age, but not because you were wrong, just that you didn't realize that a small amount of people are thieves.

Please post her Ebay Id so we can know who the scammer is.
She KNOWS the bag is fake, otherwise the would take it back.
Does she think you are trying to send her a fake bag or is she just saying the bag is authentic? anyway, everything that your seller says is BS and excuses to not give you your money back!
DISHONEST seller!!

Argh what a complete nightmare
I just can't believe the nerve of these people
if I had inadvertently sold a fake (which would never happen btw) I would be so mortified and ashamed - it just shows this seller knows what she is selling is fake to get all defensive etc
I would highlight that what she has done is to break the law and that not only is the credit card co investigating but that they usually refer things like this to the FBI etc and hopefully that will give her a scare

File a police report against her. I had a fake LV sold to me once and I contacted the police where the seller lived. I gave them all fo her info....turns out she had done this to more than just me. There were multiple police reports on file for her for the same deal...counterfeit items.....

The police obtained a search warrant for her home and confiscated all of her bags and computers (for records). She was ARRESTED.......happy ending for all.

Please file one against this witch. You can just tell she KNOWS it is fake because she is being so rude! An innocent person just does not act this way at all.

I was considering this as a last resort if I didnt get the CC to rule in my favor. Do you think I should file a report anyway,. even if I do get the money back?

It might be possible that she doesn't know it's fake and is scared that you are going to do a bait and switch on her (that's why she might be being rude/defensive?)
I think your CC will probably get your money back and she does seem a little overly rude TBH so it's kind of hard to tell. I guess you just have to go with your gut instinct, I'm sure it will all work out for you:)

Sounds like a scammer to me...

How many people, who made an honest mistake, would talk like that?

YES! Even if she gives you your money back, file a police report. Maybe it will scare her from doing it to another person. Do not screw around with people like her. Call tomorrow to her local PD/Sheriff's Office and tell them you want a police report and to pursue criminal charges against her for fraud and theft. After you file the report, send her an email telling her you filed a police report at her local PD listing her as the suspect in a fraud/grand theft incident that occurred by her selling you a counterfeit bag. State that you are pursuing criminal charges against her if she wishes to continue this little charade.

However, if you wait until AFTER you get your money back to file a report, the police *may* tell you that since there is now no monetary loss, they won't take a report........they still should but your case is weak that way and the District Attorney would throw it in the trash since you got your money back KWIM?
