Default Rec'd a bag w/ loose STUDS, what can I do?
Hello all, this is my first time posting here..

My friend in Hongkong has helped me to receive a Balenciaga Giant Hobo bag which has 10 giant studs on it. However, she found out that there are at least four are them feel quite LOOSE, she can even turn one of them for a round! Which is not normal, as I have other Giant bags & none of the studs is loose...all are very tight!

The seller described the bag as NEAR NEW and did not mention any FLAW or the studs are loose in her auction.

In this case, am I eligible for a return? She puts NO RETURN on her auction page.
Moreover, the seller is in Canada and the bag is in Hongkong, who should cover the shipping cost? She charged me $80USD for shipping the bag from Canada to HK.

All ebay experts, your help will be much appreciated!!! Thank you!

You might ask where the seller originally bought her B bag. If it is Holt Renfrew or some dealer of Bbags in Canada, they will probably repair (tighten them) the studs for someone who has a receipt Or if you are truly unhappy, I think you can file a SNAD for this item. Studs should not be this loose, but I guess it could happen with a lot of use? If you bought on ebay with PP, this return may be easier, and you may even get your shipping back. Others my have more info for you here. Using a middleman like you have makes a return even more complicated.

"Received a bag with loose studs..."

Well if any of those loose studs are in my area, could you send one over? I need a good back massage and if they are good looking too ... well just sayin'.

*ducks and runs*

this may sound really silly and stupid, but I just thought I should mention it. I had a giant besace with loose hardware and I simply just turned it to tighten it again. You know what I mean? just kinda screwed it back the other way and it tightened.

Did you try that?

just want to clarify, I am the one who bought the bag, and get it shipped to HK as I am going back next month.

the seller claims the bag is used for less than 5 times...and she said she called BALNY and BALNY told her that it is NORMAL and if it ever falls out in the future, BALNY will fix it free of charge as USUALLY they will have extra studs...

so in this case, will ebay or PP stand on my side?

Yes see if you can screw them in????? They may have just come "un-screwed" and then your problem will be fixed. Hope you do not have to fool with return. Sounds like a very complicated purchase what with someone else having bought the bag for you.

I was really concerned when hardware was loose, but i searched on here and couldn't find anything about hardware falling off. I think it's rare. Screwing it back in should hopefully work. Good luck!

it is not that complicated...i am situated in Sydney at the moment, there is no confirmed paypal address for users outside US/Canada...only verified account...that's why i chose to get the bag shipped to HK(my family & friends are there) instead as i said i will be going back soon...

anyway, i will ask my friend later today to see if she can screw them back!

thank you for your advice!
