OK, so I kind of can't believe I even have to post this but there's a big problem w/ people advertising in here.

I realize there are new auction sites, but our rules haven't changed.

You may NOT post your auctions or IDs at any auction website such as eBay, eCrater, bonanzle, etc. . . .

You can't post your auctions and ask how you can improve them

Also, PLEASE do a search There must be 300 threads in here about people being suspended on eBay

And finally, don't assume because you see people posting their auctions that it's allowed. Just because they did and we didn't do anything does NOT mean we're looking the other way, it means no one has reported them.
We're not giving anyone special treatment . . . I'm not allowed to post mine and neither is anyone else.
We rely heavily on the community to help manage tPF, we need you to report questionable content.

Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you!

I have not posted any links but I want to make sure it is OK to discuss the other selling sites?

Is it OK to mention the general link to that site? (not a seller's store, just the generic site)

yes, as long as you are NOT affiliate w/ the website.
For example, if you run bonanzle, you can't link it or try and direct traffic there.

Gotcha. Thanks.

I am not an employee of any, including eBay.

Ebay guy, do you think this might be the place to fully disclose your status as a seller? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like EBay is the main source of your income, being a trading assistant and all.

I have "disclosed " my status as an eBay seller in numerous posts. I am not sure what you are asking or why?

I am an eBay Educations Specialist, a Power Seller and a Trading Assistant, however I am also the sales manager of an international company that has nothing to do with eBay and is my main income.

I would like internet sales to be a retirement income. If you notice, I said internet sales, which means I sell on other venues as well. eBay is the main one at the moment but with all the changes within eBay, I am putting my eggs in more baskets.

Now with that said, maybe it is a good time for you to explain what your point was. It sounded a little accusatory and I am at a loss for why that would be the case.
