YES. someone was selling $795 for less then $600!! Search tPF now that the search is back and you should be able to find a similar post.

Hi friends. I have a question and no one better than you to answer it. I'm very close to using the live.com discount to BIN a bag. The flag showing the %discount at the top of the page states "Buy it now and you may get cashback" (in 60 days if you have a PayPal account, as per the conditions). May? Any chance I won't? I'm just wondering if those of you who have used the discount have been getting the cashback without problems. TIA!

remember you only have 60 minutes to use the discount once you are in to ebay though live. If longer than that go back in again through live before you buy . I have a countdown on my account and it is at 52 days. It goes down everyday. i think it is legit.

When the 60 days is up, you will need to go into your live.com account and request the money be transferred to your Paypal acct.--it doesn't happen automatically.

the "may" is because not all transactions qualify.

If you see the amount you will get back after you hit buy it now, but BEFORE you confirm then you will get that amount.

You will be able to hit the pay me button in your live account after 60 days and then it will be in your paypal account in less than a week.

I just made a purchase and ended up with a $7 cashback amount...how do we see that we're getting that money back? Is anything supposed to show up on the Live account page (like the countdown ItalianFashion mentioned)?

It takes a couple days for it to show up on livecashback account. I got worried also. Did you sign up for a cashback account in addition to the live account?

Yup, I did, I just found the email in my regular email account this morning and it's showing up in my Live account as well.
So I get my $7 back in September. Yay. Lol.

Lol yeah it is...I think I read something about giving plenty of time for buyers to return items or whatever.

OK you go to live.com and do a search for your buy it now item, then AFTER you do buy it now, you sign up for the cash back account??It's confusing. I want to buy an expensive bag ($900) and I would like to get the 25 % (or is it 20% now??) even if it takes 60 days to see the discount. THanks for help, I'm kinda slow here

Yeah, it's after you buy. You'll get a message in your ebay inbox with a link to click to sign up for the live.com account.
