mine's been showing failed too. i got the same msg from live.com to contact paypal to review my account and make sure it can receive funds. uhh of course it can. i've gotten the manually initiated funds perfectly fine, so this new automated process is clearly just flawed. i heard back from paypal yesterday and they simply said i should call them about this matter. i'm glad to hear i'm not the only one and hopefully they're fixing the bug as we speak...

Does anyone have a phone number for live.com support? I've email four times now with no response and see no progress on my cashback...

Why is some cashback instant while other transactions take 60 days to process?

I thought it depended on how long the item had been listed and the seller (lots of transactions vs. few transactions)... but today I bought from a seller with tons of sales and got a 60 day pending... whereas the other day I got instant cashback... so confused!!

I'm so confused on the difference between the instant and 60 day wait. On my main eBay account with tons of feedback I've been having to wait 60 days on everything. On my second account with very minimal feedback I've been getting instant CB. Anyone know why?

Hi Ladies,

I have a question related to live.com, I am sorry if it's been asked before.

I purchased an item 5/1/09 on ebay via live.com, and I received an instant cash rebate.

I was overcharged on the shipping (long story; seller agreed to include free shipping but still left the fee on the invoice, so I ended up paying it anyway) and want to ask the seller for a shipping fee refund.

If the seller goes to the paypal transaction and hits 'issue refund' will I lose all of my cashback?

If so I guess I will ask for a separate payment, so this doesn't occur.

Please let me know. TIA!

yes, any sort of refund voids the cashback...had this happen on a partial once. Try to have them do it seperately.

On another note, I noticed that live.com revised their rules, especially for ebay transactions. I could have sworn that I saw in the rules that you can only get cashback 3 times per ID now. Say it ain't so!
