Default Question re: postage to UK

Hi, I'm hoping that my UK friends can help me answer this question. I'm selling a handbag on eBay and I got this question from an UK potential buyer:

>will it be possible to send it as a recorded postage

What does this mean? Is this advisable? Many thanks!

It means you can track it, and it's insured up to a certain amount
ETA: It also means it has to be signed for. As far as I know it's just an internal UK thing, but provided you send your item insured and with tracking available it's the same as that

Yes, recorded delivery is the name of a domestic mail service, but often used colloquially to describe a parcel that can be tracked/offers signed for service. Hope that helps!
