Why would a seller have items that are currently online and in fp stores for sale at a steep discount ? It makes me think the items are stolen... Why would anyone buy things at full price and then list them at a discounted price? That makes no Sense to me at all???
Just seeing what others thoughts are on this :)

They may not be stolen they may have been bought with an employee discount

family member may work for the company they could have slight imperfections

that are hard to find they could be returns from a store that hasn't sold

the item (RTV) they could be overstock....

Or (in my case) it was an impulse buy or something that doesn't fit & the return period has expired.

Are we talking Coach? Or just in general?

I'm talking coach. There is a wallet I'm interested in online right now and I saw it on eBay for much cheaper and the seller has 3 different colors so I was just wondering why it would be so much cheaper. I want to make sure before I buy that it's not something fishy. The seller has 0 feedback but has been a member since 2005 or something like that.

I'm wondering if they stocked up with PCE and are selling somewhere in between. Is the price below PCE? Ive wondered myself how some of the sellers sell stuff below outlet price, they have to be losing money instead of making a profit.

I've often thought this when someone is selling new items that just launched for half price.

They may have gotten it at the outlet as a return, and they are doing 50% off plus 20% off. Just a thought. I just bought a wallet at the outlet, that is still on the web site, and it retailed for $248.00, I got it for $103.00 Plus tax.

I actually bought a BCBG Max Azria sundress (in like-new condition) from a thrift store for $8 and a week later saw it in Macy's for around $85! EXACTLY the same thing! Needless to say I was really shocked!

I know it is tacky but I do sell gifts I do not like. I am not that much into Coach, so I would put a low starting bid too just to get rid of it.
The other possibility that was mentioned was that it might be a fake. With items in high demand, chances are rather big this to be the case.

Yes, I did consider the fact that they may be fake. They are a very good replica if they are. I think I will just buy it from coach to be safe. It's worth the extra $$$ for peace of mind :)

I have personally purchased items from the Coach outlet before that were still full price on the Coach website. That's how I got one of my favorite bags, in fact! Everyone else was paying the $498 and I paid about $200.
In another instance, I found several at the outlet for only about $300 that were still selling full price on the website for almost $900.
Lots of people (including me) bought multiples. I'm confident that some of those were resold.
