Can someone please tell me what the process is for receiving a bag in the US that is coming from Europe. I am very interested in a bag listed on Bonanza, but don't want to commit until I know what to expect.

Is it held at the point of entry? Does Customs notify me of duty fees owed before releasing the package? Anyone know the formula for figuring duty owed?

HELP! I want this bag, but don't want to be hit with hundreds of dollars in duty fees!

If there is customs due, it will come with paperwork on the box. The USPS carrier collects it from you (assuming it is sent that way).

Typically USPS does not charge customs fees. OP there a lot of factors as to what and if you will be charged customs. And sometimes the bill may arrive in the mail not attached to the box.

What courier is the seller using to ship the bag?

Thank all of you for responding. The seller uses DHL. How does DHL typically handle it? The bag is listed for $1300. Any idea how much customs would charge?
